Limited Run The Mandalorian Blaster, screen accurate (TWO LEFT before)

Well got mine today, awesome kit! Sadly an adafruit solution will not fit, but I'll try something else

My kit arrived yesterday! The postage handlers did a bang up job. Luckily, only one small piece was broken, and I was able to glue it back together.

Quick dry-fit:

So...where are the instructions for this thing?

I'll be writing a list of tips and uploading a bunch of photos somewhere of assembly, or put them in a PDF... just haven't had the time to sit down and sort it out. (And to boot, my computer is refusing to download photos from my phone, where I have the snapshots.) I'll try to find the time in the next couple of days. In the meantime, my build thread has a lot of info.

Which piece was it? (If anyone has any issues with the post office smashing pieces, just drop me a message and we'll get it sorted.)
Received, Great Kit !! were the stainless upgrade discs ever put up on shspeways?
thanks
They've been sending out a bunch of info-emails about changing policies and prices the last couple of weeks and I haven't had a chance to look it all over. But it's coming. (Honestly though... I'm not sure the stainless parts are worth it unless you really need he extra durability, because the process took away some of the very fine knurling in the parts.)

Just a small heads-up guys. I'm still having trouble getting the damn buildup images off my phone and I don't know why. Stupid itunes is refusing to let me dump them all in one go. So please hang in there for a bit longer.

OK, I finally got the photos downloaded to the computer. Had to do it manually because Windows automatic downloading routing kept crashing. Also... of course stupid Apple went and invented a new image format that Windows machines don't like... and has been automatically saving in that format for a while without warning... *sigh*. Dumbest thing ever. Luckily, I managed to find a converter.

Gimme a few days to sort all the photos and write some notes, then I'll upload a PDF.

OK, guys... here are a couple of the promised metal extras. These are for everyone who might be thinking of trooping with the blaster and want a little more durability in those two parts. (I have a few more "secret" extras set up for those that committed to the run early and you will all be given links via PM shortly.)

Note: You order those parts directly from Shapeways... I have nothing to do with their manufacture or shipping- I just uploaded the models. I have had copies test printed. Some of the knurling does not survive the polishing process, but other than that they're pretty neat. Also, note that I made the "pin" on the level a little longer, so you'll have to carefully open up the side rail hole a little to mount it.

Will there be other stuff uploaded to shapeways (other than the secret stuff) or is it just these two for the foreseeable future? If the former, I'm going to wait to put in an order to order everything together

I don't think so- basically all the parts I've had printed in metal are now set up. I did have one other "secret" part... the little brass block in the ejector port, but when I tried to set it up, Shapeways would not let me choose copper as the standard material, so I scrapped it.

Tip: For those that want a real metallic shine to it... use copper foil tape! Works great since it's real metal!

It was this piece. You can see on the back corner where I glued it back together.

Also, I ordered all the extras from Shapeways! Thanks so much for these!
