The King’s Man (Kingsman Prequel)

Test screenings have been so good for this film that the next two in the prequel trilogy have already been green lit.

Is there ever a picture of the pistol from the side? From the front it looked like a 1911 to me.

There is a 1911 in this film, but you hardly see it. Mostly Webleys. The KM mk1 pistol is a modified Stey 1912

You’ll see more images of this pistol in the weapons oriented posters coming out soon.

Coming late to the party, just saw the trailer, oh where to start, looks awesome!

This is The King’s Man Kingsman gun concept. An amalgamation of a Webley flare gun and the Steyr 1912. Note it hasn’t been fully developed yet with the double trigger.

And this is the final Kingsman gun used by Ralph Fiennes as Orlando Oxford. The first and and founding Kingsman. Not a Kingsman pistol as we know it yet as it doesn’t fire shotgun cartridges but flares. The brass ring in the compartment is an adapter used in the under barrel for firing blanks. Although the shown flares below fit into the barrel, they don’t fire. 9mm blanks were used with the adapter for that.

Oxford also uses a Webley.455 revolver in a flashback scene when he was serving as an officer in the British Army.

I like that sword, it looks like it may actually be the correct model for the period too.

It is. It’s a VR cipher 1897 pattern infantry sword. A GR cipher 1897 pattern sword was used too. No replicas used, all original. Same goes for all the weapons in the film.

Sweet, that's good to know. I wonder if they got Matt Easton of Scholagladiatoria to consult on that or bought a sword from him to use.:)

Still set for release September

"Only in Theaters..." That'll be interesting. I suspect they'll be be keeping it that way for a very short time.

This is one of the few flicks I'd pay the "$20 rental" for on opening week.
