The Incredibles

My wife is going to kill me if we don't do a costume for Halloween this year, and she wants a family theme. Our son turns 1 this week, and he's got adorable red hair, everyone says he looks just like Jack-Jack. So, we're agreed - we want to do an Incredibles costume trio.

Can anyone give us suggestions on where to start? My wife is even willing to sew the spandex or polyester or whatever materials will look best, and I am going to work on a little muscle definition out of foam for myself.

Patterns, advice, and links would be MUCH appreciated. Even a generic superhero pattern would go a long way towards helping us. Thanks in advance, guys!

The cool thing about these costumes is that you can have a beer belly and exactly look the part. I love it.
Don't go overboard on fake muscles, and if you have a gut, don't hide it!

i'd go for spandex with iron on transfers for the logo. then extra spandex for the underwear and finally latex for the gloves and pvc for the boots. also an extra black strip of spandex for the collar, and a latex orange belt piece. for the baby, just get a one piece baby nighty thing and dye it the appropriate color.

I'm looking into maybe ordering Zentai lycra bodysuits from China.

I already have a black speedo, so I think I'm good there. (And yes, I'll make a shell.. lol.)

Sewing can be alright for an incredible costume but if your pressed for time You can always start with a maggie cosplay zentai. Just if you want to add bulk to the costume take measurements with the muscle suit on.
