The Hulk Costume

I need help! I am currently building an 8 foot tall hulk costume. Well its pretty much done for the most part but I have no clue what I could use to cover it with to make it look like skin. I tried regular green cloth but it looks aweful....Any suggestions???????? It is made of Egg crate foam, duck tape, jumping stilts, and pvc pipe insulation. I will post pics later today...Thanks. I have not put the eyes in yet, and the belts are just used to see how the padding looks before I glue them to the stilts.....Appreciate the input

Vinsanit you could try spandex with a coat of liquid latex and then paint with liquid latex and acrylic paint thinned with methyl alchohol or even water through an air brush.

I use "Plasti-dip" for all my skin. It is sold at hardware stores as a tool "handle dip" in the paint section. I reccomend picking up a bunch of cheap brushes (15 for 9.95) cuz it will take a lot of them. The down side is it becomes a rubber skin and does not breath...foam gets REALLY soggy after while on the inside.

RoadTony thanks for the reply.. I will def check that out. Does it get soggy enough to fall apart? and would I add the paint color to the plastidip when putting it on or paint after? And how many layers would I do? thanks again. It is much appreciated...

You could cover it with sheet foam, and spray vinyl over it. I had good results using it over foam for a quick Tin Woodman costume.... Just coat the foam with contact cement first, let dry, and spray with the (colored) vinyl...

Wow.... I GOTTA see this as it progresses... man you are off to a great start! What a HELL of an idea for the Hulk!!

Thanks for the compliments guys....This is my first costume build so I am new to this all.....Hence the thread...So *Mostly Fantasy* I coat the foam that is already on the costume with the cement or go buy the actual sheet foam. Sorry NOOB as you can tell... And again I need to find a way to see through the chest of the hulk. Which my original plan was for fabric for the skin but that was a fail cause I could not find spandex fabric to match the mask.....

For seeing. What about going with a ripped shirt hanging over some of the body and look out that. Maybe have a way to detach it so you can have fresh air and a drink once in a while. Velcro or snap? I don't think a loose fabric would be a way to go because the fabric could move on you and block your vision.
