The Hobbit - Thranduil's sword prop

[Blast Flame]

This is a project that i made some month ago for a convention, i decide to make it since there were only a few replica on the net.
I'll up a little log just to show the main part of the working process; The sword is handmade, from start to finish, i used wood,mdf and styrene for the details.
I went mad to study the shape and the details since there were a few decent pictures of the sword, i ended up using the concept art and some pic of the statue so there will be some difference with the one that will show up in the third movies.

I forget to take pictures when detailing the blade, sorry ><
This is the final product, due to bad weather the color did'nt dry well so i think i'll repaint it in the future maybe changing some some details.

The one on the handle have been carved with a simple cutter, the one on the blade have been made with styrene
