I hope. We have the prop and started on it a while back. Just waiting on confirmation from UC now that the film is out. I know we can do it a lot more accurately than that one, based on the photo I see on their website.
News to me. As far as I know they have no license for weapons. I had heard they were doing foam weapons, but then I saw another company doing Hobbit foam replicas. Wouldn't surprise me though, as it seems the same licenses were given to multiple companies for the same product categories.
There is a steel rod running the length, with threaded ends. Under the tip cap and pommel cap are the threaded ends. The parts basically are all stacked on this rod and bolted at the ends with nuts. It's all bonded with automotive epoxy, so it's not going to come apart without damage if you intend to modify.*For Mr. Kit Rae: since I mentioned them, do you know what kind of wood the hafts are on the UC Gimli Axes? And how the heads are attached? I was just looking at mine and wondering how they're constructed? < I keep it a hobbit thread now guys just figured he may know and its been buggin' me.
Try picking up your Gimli Battle Axe, but only by the last 12" of the handle, no farther up. That will give you an idea.Yeah but UC's Battle Axe and Walking Axe of Gimli have some weight too. Deathless couldn't be any worse on weight that that battle axe?

I don't recall the wood we used, but It was probably one of the Elm species used for furniture. There were so many types that factory used I'm not sure the same wood would have been used throughout production.

I may break down and snag that book now.
