It may be politically totally incorrect, but due to the latent Star Wars-inherent racism because of just a very few non-caucasian actors in lead roles or even important supporting roles AND the Empire and the imperial forces are supposedly racist ( speaking about Chewie as "that thing") it unfortunately stands out that the first character we see in the trailer and in trooper armour to boot is "a black guy". And because all clones were "white" (although the template of Django Fett is Maori IIRC) it´s a surprise to boot.

I am glad that we here on the RPF never had serious issues with racism, at least as far as I can tell from my years as a regular member and when I was an active moderator. I am sure it will stay this way and that we can collectively come up with a better-suited description for the character that we do not know a name of.

For the record, every time someone describes the stormtrooper as a "black guy" but doesn't describe the pilot as a "white guy", you're being racist as ****, whether you realize it or not.

No... no it isn't.

We are absolutely not going to fall into this politically-correct BS and start making everyone walk on eggshells for no reason. Leave that "I'm offended by everything" rhetoric to bottom-feeding politicians. This is about Star Wars not about race-baiting, so let's get back to what is important... that R2's are now soccerballs and that lightsabers now have three blades.

EDIT: Just so there is no confusion on this matter, you are more than welcome to your opinion, but it is not something I am going to debate with you. I am only telling you that this site isn't the place for it.

BTW I think they should call the new lightsaber a SITH CLAYMORE. Just sounds cool to me. lol
