The first 5 MINUTES of AvP-R!!!!

The snippet looks really good, but I don't think this is the way the first 5 mins play out in the film - the scenes are too abbreviated. This thing's obviously been edited, why it is titled "The first 5 mins of AVP-R" is anyone's guess. The fact that there's some music in it directly lifted from previous predator and alien films is dead give away as well. I had my hopes set pretty high, and this footage confirms everything i hoped for this film. Can't wait. The use of the music from older films is absolutely necessary. it lends credence to this.

yeah the AVP soundtrack was ok but the pred is just a classic and when you here the alien tune you know what it is , to pt them together is great

He was using a tool to 'peel' the skin off of an Alien's head.

Looks like he was heating the 'skin' some how with the laser part of it.

I think it's actually a surgical laser, cutting the skin away from the rest of the body.

damn. And yes, now that I watch it again it is very clearly modified, so it isn't the "first" 5 minutes, just 5 minutes of film from the "beginning" of the movie

...theres no way thats the entire beginning of movie, unless they had it edited by a freakin moron. Theres absolutely no transition from one scene to the next, but it does the job for a quick preview.

That's what it looked like to me too. He's using the laser and cutting the tendons of the skin holding it onto the alien skull. If you look carefull through the smoke/fog you can see the laser hitting little strands and them bursting as he pulsl it slowly back.
