why is it that in Predator 2 the predator was able to see that the cop had a baby growing inside her and left her alone but the predators from AVP obviously never picked up on the fact that there was an alien inside there Predator ?

careless mistake on there behalf or something they missed when writing the film ?

eitherway it's given us a real cool Hunt

Well none of the preds had masks on at the end of AVP, so they couldn't see the embryo in scar. But I would assume they would still have some sort of a scanner on the ship...? It doesn't matter though. Anderson decided to have the infected pred end up on the ship, and now we have AVP requiem. So whatever. it is a little weird, though.

And yea, I agree this ship looks to be only a fraction of the size of the one at the end of AVP. That thing was absolutely gigantic.

It's two different ships... at the very beginning is the main ship as seen in AVP. The ship that crashes is a smaller vessel deployed by the larger one..

maybe it will show the ships split in the full movie , it explaints why another **** load of preds aren't there 2 , the 2 preds that get killed look great , its a pity they die so early on.

The way I see it, Wolf is part of the same clan as the Predator who was in the ship. When he activated that emergency beacon, it went to their...I don't know, "clan headquarters"?
In effect, he's coming to help his "brothers".

ive watched this trailer 5 times now..........without touching myself!!!!!!!! shhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttt im gonna get thrown out the cinema!!!!!!! and its out two days before my birthday!!!!!!!!

Got to say I'm getting more and more excited. I doubt as well this is the actaul first 5 minutes, seams like there are suppose to be scenes inbetween some parts. That may help explain the griwth of the predalien.

i see, so its a landing craft of sorts that crash lands then, wouldnt that suggest there are plenty of other preds left on the main ship, very unYautja like of them to not chase the predalien down isnt it? Cant wait to see how all the pieces fit togeather, not too long now.......

as for the ship, i think its design was one of the few gems from the first AVP, really liked the ship, the other being the bio's (celtic in paticular)

I wouldn't put him in either catagory. I think he's probably more experienced than any of them, but at the same time he isn't a "hunter" anymore. Maybe he goes on his own little safari hunts every now and then, but I think his role is to do these kinds of things. Hes like a special forces pred. The reason they're getting rid of the crash and aliens is so humans don't find any evidence...they wouldn't want to send in a whole group of preds cause theres more of a chance things might get screwed up again, so they send in one guy who's so badass he can take care of everything.


...thats the way I see it, anyway. We definitely haven't seen any other pred quite like him in the movies so far.

As has already been suggested this is clearly just a montage of the start of the film. My stab at trying to tie it altogether, PA hatches from scar, the mother ship leaves our solar system and launches a smaller vessel back to earth for a human hunt, unaware the PA has stowed away.

The way I like to think of pred society, although there are many clans, each with their own ruling elder, they all have to answer to the largest and most powerful clan who rule over the pred home world and their elder is the emperor, 9 foot tall, acid drinking, fire pissing, ugly mother who goes on solo hunts of the alien home world and kills alien queens with his bare hands and wolf is just one of his boys.

as far as pred lore goes, theyre ranked as initiates,-> then ( i dont know what theyre called , but theyve proven them selves by some sort of ritual rite),-> the warriors,-> elder predators( survived over a thousand hunts), -> then those elders whove hunted so much its not a challenge anymore so they become a sort of pred police hunting down renegade preds and cleaning up messes. that last part would explain the wolfs large collection of bios and why he just sits waiting for **** to happen... or maybe im just hoping its the way i say it is .

oh and the 5 minute video isnt the first 5 minutes of the ovie, its been substantially edited. and as someone said before, that ship is NOT the same ship that left earth in the end of AVP. maybe the design was changed, but it defnitely does not look the same.

all in all i loved this preview and cant wait for the movie.
