The Evolution of a Predator Suit-From Start to Finish

That's looking amazing!!

Wish we had animal bones like that here in NZ but all we have is SHEEP!!

Baaaaa........ :p

Cant believe ive missed this until now. Looking back i have to say its one of the best ive seen so far..so much like the P1 (cant beat the P1). Seriously great stuff dude..that would be the kinda of costume i would hope to replicate in the future. Seriously jealous here dude :p Un freakin real!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I agree kwalsh000 - the P1 is by far the best Pred that I have seen to date. P2 follows in second place and I don't really count the linebackers from AVP. I'm holding out on AVP2 to see how they do, but for now - my favorite will always be the Predator from the first movie...

WOW!!!!! I just now saw this thread. I gotta come in here more often.

Outstanding! Man, you really took your time, and it paid off.

Very, very nice work brotha.....

AL :p

Alright Jason...you are officially making me miss my old DB suit. Everytime I check back on this thread, the same thought enters my mind...."I cant believe he hasn't tried this on yet!" I so glad that all your patience paid off. I've been dabbling in the super hero costume thing for the past few months, but now have decided to commit back to a Pred again by early Fall. Keep up with those mods...it keeps getting better and better

It's all the little details that helps pull a suit together. Love the lanyard and necklace, and you even threw in some of your own teeth? That's dedication. :p

Now you really can say, "There's a little bit of me in this costume".

Thanks for the kind words guys. I bought it to display, look at, impress the people who see it and wear once a year - at Halloween. Its gotten all sorts of comments - mostly all good with the occasional head shake.

I have been taking my time with this, but I can finally say that its pretty much done. I haven't added the butt cover, but thats the last thing I have to do. I managed to attach the Bio and holy funk does it ever look sweet! The blades and knee pads are attached as well. Some pix:

Kick ASS!!! suit and pics... god i love this place... :)

Andrew

Thanks Andrew...it feels good to finally have it all done. Taking the pics was fun because it looks one way with the flash and another way without it. To me it looks like a lifesize Billken vinyl kit!

This suit kicks ass on many levels, I think this thread desreves archiving as reference for others intending on doing the same. Kudos bro

I wanted to show the Predator community how I did from start to finish. There are very few people who have shown how its done from beginning to end and for that reason alone I wanted to have a reference for anyone who was interested. Kithunter asked me how it felt to have it in my basement and I said it was amazing! I get so many comments on it and people are amazed when they see it. It was fun and sometimes frustrating to work on but well worth it.

Thanks to everyone that helped this come together for me - Dan for sculpting and designing the body, arms, feet, hands, gauntlets and head; Art for shipping it to Joe, and Joe for painting what Dan didn't get a chance to finish - you guys are freaking awesome! Thank you also to everyone who has kept checking out this thread...thats the whole reason I started this in the first place...
