I really don't think I need to say this but these shots are AWSEOME! As someone has already said; looks just like 'home'. Fanstastic!

Can't wait to see more progress on your chair, Steve!
Instead of forking out a fortune for a replica, I may just build my own too.. :)

Thanks Scott!

Well I got more work done on the bridge and the pedestal frame up for the command chair. I'll post another video tomorrow.

Very nicely done. Although with Rosie in the picture, I might think this project has gone to the dogs. ;) Such a pretty puppy. :D

Steve,

Seeing this come together is an absolute delight. I'm in my studio having my morning coffee and getting ready to work on a portrait upon the easel. Had to pause though and check out your progress with the Enterprise project. Watching your video's and listening to your comments always brings a smile and a chuckle, it is a great way to begin the day, thanks!

Buy the way, those screens look great, aesthetically they look better a little raised off the bulkhead anyway. You are an artist and as one you are entitled to employ "artistic license", which simply means tweaking such reconstructions as your judgment sees fit and I think your judgment has been pretty damned good!

I've a bit of the rivet counter in me but only to a point, after all I'm an artist not a technician -chuckle.

Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration! :thumbsup
RW.

Very cool, I hope Rosie is feeling better, she's really sweet. I would to love have a captain's chair, but I don't have any room for it.

Nice work on the CGI bridge Steve. Amazing that you can read the individual screens up close like that. And the chair looks to be shaping up nicely. Glad to see Rosie is feeling like her old self again. What a great dog!

The CG bridge looks amazing! Great start on the chair as well... Sorry to hear Rosie was not feeling good! Talk with you soon... Randy

The chair is coming along. I should have the arm consoles on tomorrow and I'll be starting the Madison chair replica.

And here's a don't blink short test of the very unfinished Bridge.

More tomorrow folks.

enterprise project bride test 2 - YouTube

Be sure to watch this in 720p and full screen it's very clear and you can see all of Will's hard work more clearly.

Seeing the chair being built brings back memories. It's a fun project. I will be curious to hear your experience with the upholstery.

720 and full screen is a MUST. Already, it feels like I"m on the bridge. Can't wait to see the next installment.

The Enterprise "Bride" made me chuckle when the title came up in YouTube and the first thing that flashed in my mind was this mental image, so I had to transfer it into pixels which seemed appropriate for Halloween... Hope you enjoy it.

Glad I could make you smile Steve. You've given so many of us many smiles and slack jaw dropping wonder with the model build.

I have to say the really amazing thing that occurred to me watching your quick render with all the screens on the virtual bridge is that I can't recall seeing something that looked like a crane camera move over the bridge before which made the movement of the "camera" awesome. If you can pull that off by shooting a crane move for your virtual appearance in the chair and get some people to 'crew' your bridge and then match the crane move in your render it would be really awesome.

More done on the chair today. Three days to get to this point. Tomorrow I start the Madison chair replica.

Video on the way.
