The end all to end all for Firefly props, the fireflyarchive.com is active!

Its been years in the making, through inside jobs, clever investigation, blind luck and help from friends, with items previously lost, some never seen before and some up for sale along with some leather goods, cashey money and PAL units, the Firefly Archives is open for all.

http://www.fireflyarchive.com/

More items will be added to both the archive and the shop. The Lassetter is there and it may surprise those that have built replicas. Han Solo in Carbonite is also there. Each item has a brief description to it and some even have some inside info from the actors and crew members.
Hope you all enjoy it, the maker put countless amounts of time into making it happen.

At last, a website showing THE premiere Firefly collection on the planet.
My only complaint is that it isn't mine!

The biggest thrill for me is to finally have excellent pictures of Rance Burgess's laser pistol.
Aluminum and black plastic, oh-yeah, I can find some of that to machine.
So much to appreciate; most of all that someone bothered to gather this collection together.
Thanks Karl.

Mike

Good to see the Lasseter in Karl's collection, pity it got repainted for that goofy kid's show!

Anyone know if the Burgess Laser and Early pistols were built for Firefly or were modded rentals like Vera and The Lasseter?

Just to be a pedant (sorry Karl!), Firefly had aired in the UK on the Sci-Fi Channel quite a while before the DVD set.

Thanks for the heads up Rob.

Fantastic site, Shiny in fact! :D

Congratulations to all involved in it's creation.

Great to see it online so more people can enjoy the collection.

If it comes to a town near you, do yourself a favour and go and see it, it's an amazing collection, Vera has to be seen to be believed!

It was an honour to have had the collection displayed at one of our charity events, a big shout out to it's owner for putting it on for us.

It was an enormous draw for the show, it along with others, helped to raise a whole heap of cash for the British Heart Foundation.

Thanks again and long may that collection continue to grow.

Wow, those shots of the Rance Burgess laser are amazing, as well as all the others. I'm overwhelmed to see all the details and good-quality photos of the original props that have eluded most of us for years.

Amazing website and an amazing collection. I can't believe the Jaynestown knife made it in the collection. If only Jaynes camo jacket was in the collection. We never saw Kaylee's ID card when Jayne was making them right? I think it's time to give the series another run. The only thing I have that I think was from Firefly is one of two tins sold by a prop rental house that sits on the dinner table in Serenity. I've talked to the other winner about it and his is slightly darker then mine on the inside. But right after the auction ended, someone contacted me who wished to buy it, but I declined . It was just too neat to have in my collection.

Do I need to say "It's about time!!!"? :lol

Lookin' good. Seeing some clear shots of the Jubel Early pistol (spelled with an "a" on the site but an "e" in the scripts I think), I got rather close with my metal replica with the info that was available. Hmmm might just retool the master into Jayne's plastic pistol... must have one of those on the shelf!

Guess I've also got a Lassiter to rebuild and a RB laser to scratch... oooh and the sonic rifle! :cool

By the way... the sonic rifle (or at least parts of one) was rebuilt for Dr. Horrible was it not?

Also... who's gonna ID the little florescent lights?

The rifle wasnt "rebuilt", just had some parts tacked onto it. I believe it was done as an inside joke for Joss and the fans but what do I know.

There are still items to be put up on the site so check back often.

I do have a serious question. On the Le Mat, on one side there are what appear to be Chinese characters stamped into the metal just above the grip.

Are they in fact Chinese characters or am I just misreading the pics?

And were they put there for the show or are they part of the gun originally?

I would like to know what the the Catalyzer from Out of Gas and that white thing that Jayne has in his breast pocket in Ariel really are :)

I would like to know what the the Catalyzer from Out of Gas

Ask Nathan Fillion. I think he has it. :)

Closest speculations so far seem to suggest:
-Turbo unit from a car (or possibly some fuel-injection part)
-Circulation pump (like for a water heater in your house)

If we only had as many Firefly prop fanatics as there are for Star Wars, this'd be known already.
