Gee, sorry. I just wanted to participate. You're right. It's a props thread. I'll take my lack of props and be on my way.

:cry

:lol

Here is my first attempt at the Leap of Faith painting. Thanks to help and advice from Luke0312.

Here I used a Gold Sharpie to accent the glow around the Grail Cup - I don't care for it.

I am very happry with the backing board.

I am working on a second attempt for the painted board. I was not happy with the edges, especially the top edge.

Best,
DBCooper

whenever I hear Indy, I think if independent as in indymogul. You would not believe how many times i've been fooled by this one. I guess I should pay more attention to the capitalization

DBCooper that is beautiful work!

Here's a small prop I recently finished. I got this Afrika Korps cap that can be seen extensively in both Raiders and Last Crusade. It wasn't easy finding it though, because there are no reproductions available with this patch. So I had to get a cap first and then find and buy the patch afterwards which was not quite easy. It's also hard to find the cap without vent holes.

Let me make it clear that I don't collect Nazi stuff, I despise everything about them. I'd never wear it myself, not even for Halloween, but as a display prop it's kinda cool.
I weathered it with sandpaper and Fullers earth to get that worn in look as in the movies.

My latest piece I finished last night.

Since I traded this one away a while back, I decided today to make another. As DB said, we've been bouncing ideas back and forth to develop a formula for getting something we're happy with. There was nothing wrong with the first one I did, I just felt it didn't really have a true aged look under close examination. Wanted something more rustic that had really seen some things in its time.

Today I was able to get the top done, hope to work on the "frame" tomorrow (and finish it if I'm lucky)
Here's the top I completed:

And finished the frames (for the most part) today, still have to add a hanging wire.

@Luke0312: Wow.. Really nicely done.. I've got a set here to do as a project, maybe I should just send it over to you..

@DBCooper: As usual, nicely made..

Kredepops: Thanks, I feel better about these are far as replicating an aged/antique look vs my first two attempts. I'll probably sell one of them.

Beechy: Thanks as well, I enjoy making these, gives me chance to use woodworking methods I haven't before. I had never really done much distressing till these.

My small collection.

Some gear:
indy1-1.jpg

Wested Lambskin Raiders, Adventurebilt Raiders fedora, Todd's holster, an Ebay whip, an unissued MkVII with Todd's strap and a pair of close enough gloves.

Some props
indy2-1.jpg

My own Grail Diary and wrapper, an early Magnoli idol which was gold-leafed and lacquered, Hasbro Ark, Replicaprops painted headpiece, a Magnoli wooden grail, Sankara stones and Sanskrit cloth which I made myself, a modded Reelart Spear of Destiny (which is actually a Constantine prop but I figured it fit nicely with this collection), my precious COW challenge coin and Toht's hanger at the back.

What this thread is missing are pics of agent5's spectacular collection.
