Of course it should, with batman as a symbol which would make all that Batman fought for live on and worthwhile. I think this is more believable than Batman...
miraculously surviving a nuclear blast. I think it was all perfect except for the very end. Right up until the point where they show Lucious Fox examining the Bat to find out autopilot worked. They should have honoured batman with statue as they did, still shown robin where to find the cave, let gordon have a new bat signal just to remind everyone what the batman stood for, then show alfred at the table seeing bruce with rachel and kids. But dont make it obvious he may be imagining it. Then it will leave people wondering... Is he really dead or was alfred just imagining. Of course the appearance of Rachel should make it obvious but it would make for a much softer edged ending than batman just being blown up too. Plus its a nice thought of alfred's to think that now batman is gone, bruce wayne can finally be happy and free. Oh well, it was still an awesome movie. Thats my only biff with it.

Something like Ra's appearing out of a Lazurus Pit. It would mean the League of Shadows would continue after Bane/Talia's death, and give Robin something to fight.

Speaking of dead Talia, does that mean no Damian Wayne?

Yeah, but all of that took what, 10, 15 minutes? They didn't got thru his upbringing or schooling or who his mailman was or where he buys his socks.

Just got home from a press screening. I loved it. I've been trying to figure out how to put it into words.

They didn't try to replicate the magic they had with Heath Ledger as the Joker and I think that was the smart thing to do. Trying to copy the Dark Knight's formula would have lead to disaster.

The movie isn't as "revolutionary" per se as the Dark Knight was but it's no less great IMHO. To me, it's sort of like comparing Star Wars and the Empire Strikes back. They're two of my all-time favorite movies but tonally they are somewhat different and are both great for different reasons.

Some folks are gonna nitpick or not like it but most folks that loved the Dark Knight are gonna love this too I think.

Aside from the guy behind me having a verbal nerd orgasm, it was an awesome movie going experience... 2D IMAX with the volume cranked. (yes, TWO-D and not 3D). Thankfully the volume helped drown out the guy behind me.
 
Just got back from seeing it. I loved every minute of it. Awesome movie :)

One thing that really impressed me was Banes voice. It was really eerie but just suited the character perfectly. Really impressive.

Ditto. I was wondering how much I'd like Bane as a villain and it worked really well. Batman Begins and the Dark Knight had some great hand-to-hand fight scenes but none that made me feel like Batman had to lay it all on the line to win. Every time he fought Bane though, I felt like it was no-holds-barred, y'know?

Sort of like how in the Amazing Spider-Man, I felt like I finally saw Spidey fighting exactly how he does in the comics. This was like that for me - it was cool seeing Batman finally go toe-to-toe with somebody that could stand up to him physically.

And as a side note, the Bat vehicle visually reminds me of a stinkbug so every time I see it, I want to call "the stinkbug" instead of "the bat." :p

Exactly how I felt. I could just about feel every hit Bane threw at him.In the previous 2 it was like he didn't have to try but in this he really busts his balls and you really feel for him and once he finally got it together I was ready to fist pump the air. You could hear people in the cinema going 'YEAH'.Like you said it was the same for me with Spiderman as well. At the end of this film everybody in the cinema clapped and cheered which is something I haven't experienced in a while.

Does Bane ever get into kind of a berzerker mode or anything close to an increase in strength because of the "venom"? I'm looking for like a noticeable difference we see on camera.

Batman flies off in the bat with the bomb attached, its made out that he has died but he actually had it on autopilot and ejected before the bomb went off. batman is thought to be dead but is honoured by gotham with a statue. bruce is later seen with selina kyle in florence i think it was? so YES batman did die but bruce wayne is alive

In many of the reviews, Bane's voice is either 'unintelligable under the mask' or 'pushed forward so far in the mix the background noise disappears'

Gotta love the critics :lol

I agree I mean I felt like Bane was one of the most brutal fighters I have ever seen. His fighting style was unrelenting and he got right to the point no toying around he just went for it.

I also was on the verge of being disturbed when Bane was just pounding Batmans head into the concrete. I mean it was Brutal and just plain mean.
