If we get another retelling of his origin in the next set of films I WILL go after someone at DC with a ball bat! :behave

My thoughts exactly. Why does every mainstream comic superhero movie series involving the big 3, Batman, Spiderman, Superman, have to start with an origin sequence? These characters have been around for decades. Is there anyone who doesn't have a general idea as to their beginnings? Re-telling the origin takes up nearly half or more of the first movie in each series.Just make a movie where they go do their thing.

Think about the James Bond series. Never had an origin sequence, hopefully never will. James Bond just does his thing.

I think he pulled an Inception on us,thing is you can't (in some cases unfortunately) get away from Robin with Batman,thing is there's good Robin incarnations and bad ones.

I think Nolan wants to explore Batman's world more I'll tag it but....

I suspect if they HAD called her catwoman some of you would be crying about objectification and dehumanization of women.. Well, she has a name. Selina Kyle. Hear her roar..

One of us would be guarenteed to. But that's his thing, you know? The "sensitive guy". You know the guy Brendan Fraser played in that movie with Elizabeth Hurley playing the Devil? Where he's so educated and gentle and caring and respectful and the object of his affections runs off with the Beach Bully because she just wants to get laid by a man, not have an "encounter therapy session"?

He's never happy with how woman are portrayed. Nobody understands and respects them the way HE does. And if he ever meets one, SHE'll see.

War: I thought _Casino Royale_ came pretty close... I mean his first two assassinations to become a 00 and his first mission as a double O, plus the genesis of his disposable attitude towards women. How far do you have to go for it to be an 'origin' movie? The womb?'. :lol

John Blake definitely goes to the cave to become a masked hero not necessarily Batman though. Batman tells him that if he's going to go around fighting criminals in the street he needs to wear a mask to protect people close to him. I won't say more, but there is a major spoiler that makes it like he wont just become a new Batman or necessarily Robin.

I wouldn't go that far. While certainly still going after the pretty ladies, Craig's Bond has shown a lot more respect towards his female companions than most of the previous Bonds. That situation with agent Fields? Come on. Any other Bond would have just written that off as a minor inconvenience. Craig's Bond made sure that her service outside her assignment would be recognized and even gave the film's villain a slice of "poetic justice" after what he did to her.

That was good.

Batman flies off in the bat with the bomb attached, its made out that he has died but he actually had it on autopilot and ejected before the bomb went off. batman is thought to be dead but is honoured by gotham with a statue. bruce is later seen with selina kyle in florence i think it was? so YES batman did die but bruce wayne is alive
