The Dark Knight Rises (Post-release)

I love this thread.

Well here's one rumor about the ending....
Apparently, the end or possibly even after credit scene shows a happy Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle sitting at a diner or cafe looking very happy.
There has been some debate on the validity of the origin of that spoiler.

Given the tone of the film, I doubt that'll be possible. I'd also be inclined to believe that since this is the end for this Batman saga that there would be anything after the credits. What would be the point?

What's the point of leaving us guessing at a spinning top at the end of Inception?

If that rumor is true, I'm just reporting it. I think Nolan's storytelling skills are terribly flawed and I don't think I've enjoyed anything he's done because of that. But, at least it's some sort of ending and I wonder if it was mandated by others?

So all of that arguing with Vivek and you don't even like Nolan's films? Seems a bit pointless to read these threads let alone post in them.

His not being a Nolan fan invalidates the criticism that starting a spoiler thread with a plea to not post spoilers is silly?

It might a bit of an ad hominem, but the question must be asked, for a film one has no interest in, why bother?

It wasn't asked that no spoilers be posted, only that the outcome not be posted. It still allows wide berth for other spoilers and even at that, a review can be given and discussed without spoilers entirely.

To which I must again ask how does JD's disinterest in the film invalidate his criticism of this thread? Okay, let's remove JD from the equation. I like the films, I'm looking forward to seeing this film. I actually give a damn about the ending. I think it's a stupid notion to create a spoiler thread and then ask for a particular spoiler to not be discussed until a particular date. I've never seen it done before, and it seems silly. Now you can stop harping on JD about it because someone who has the "right" to bother has bothered.

So it's a Spoiler* thread? We now have to have three types of threads for movies? Spoiler-Free, Don't-Spoil-the-Ending, and Spoilers-a-go-go? But then someone won't want to know if R'as shows up in present day, so there will have to be a separate thread for not spoiling that. And then a thread to not spoil if Alfred dies. And one for if Lucius dies. And one for if Gordon dies.

It's easy, if you don't want spoilers for the damn film, don't go into the damn spoiler thread.

Also, just want to note that "post-release" doesn't really clarify if it's a spoilers-okay or a spoiler-free thread. Used to be there were threads that clearly indicated such in the title.

Post release threads should contain all spoilers. People shouldn't ***** and complain about other members ruining endings or fate of characters. Not our fault they were stupid enough to read a post release thread. What do they expect?

Also, maybe new guidelines should be set since we have forum leaders now. It seems like members and forum leader are battling each other on who posts the thread first. It's gotten so silly that people are posting post release threads weeks before a film comes out.

Who cares if the critics screened it. I doubt any of us are "professional" critics. Well some members like to pretend to be but that's another topic. Post release threads shouldn't be censored

Don't want to be spoiled then don't ****ing read it.

Oh, boy.... thanks to DuneMuadDib and the others that get it. :thumbsup

Evidently, Joseph Gordon Levitt's character doesn't pick up the Batman tights or Robin or any other sort of costume other than a Police Officer.

Bane is from the League of Shadows.

Miranda Tate is Talia Al Ghul and is sent to Gotham to stop Bane and kill Bruce (although maybe not necessarily in that order)

We hear Qui Gonn Jinn's voice during the big end fight. Not sure if he appears elsewhere in the film.
