This is a Holden HQ custom step side from the movie 'The Chain Reaction' (1980) Not the Keanu Reeves movie, but an Australian flick starring Steve Bisley (who was Max's partner in 'Mad Max'). It's about a Nuclear spill cover-up and a scientist who escapes the incident and is chased by the antagonists trying to keep things under wraps.
The model is built from a Holden HQ sedan resin body that i cut in half and the stepside tray is from the Ford Courier kit. The holden is 1/24 and the courier 1/25, so there is a size difference, so i widened the tray 2mm. the rest of the car came from the spares box. The paintwork was the hardest part, masking five colours.
