This time of year Lidl / Aldi have those Parside Routers, that come with bits, in the DIY sales for 20-30 pound. Might be worth keeping an eye out, as you could still route the edges. Or if a neighbour has one. Just back from doing some more routing to the top piece I attached from where it would hang. I'm eager to see how it looks after a vew coats of varnish.
