Hey all,

I have a set of the new Stormtrooper armor and have managed to get trooperbay's gloves but Imperialboots are not taking any new orders and ImperialGaskets have a long list aswell.

Just wondering has anyone sourced any other options for the new boots (or close enough), a decent undersuit/ribbed pieces or even belt material?

This is my first time venturing into the SW costuming world and can be confusing!

Cheers!

I'm sorry to say that I can't help with what your looking for, but where do you happen to get your armor, is you don't mind me asking? Did you make it yourself?

I got some white leather boots (Korean made) from eBay

The ribbed sections - I plan to make from corduroy. Should be less sweaty than rubber.

Belt material - I don't know yet.

Based on the CRL, you can use original stormtrooper boots as a stopgap. It's 501st approvable and readily available from many vendors. The ribbed sections can be sewn. My tailor uses imbedded chord in semi shiny dry fit material to simulate the ribbing. It's easier to make the shoulder and sleeve one continuous length, similar to samurai armor sleeves. The belt material is ribbed rubber floor matting. I also had the soft pouches made bu an upholsterer, but they are simple enough to sew if you have the experience. The dimensions of the soft pouches that i used are 3.5"x4.5"x2" for the small one and 3.5"x6.5"x2" for the larger one based on extrapolations i made.

i went with getting some standard TK boots and will use them but no luck on the gaskets yet or a tailor on this end but i will keep trying.
