Hi fellow Trooper maniacs!

With some help from WannaWanga (you all should know the guy!), I made these holsters a reality sometime last year. I am currently fulfilling the last orders on run 3 (all of which happened mainly on FISD) and just started a list for a possible fourth run, so I thought I'd offer you fellow RPFers a chance to jump in on it.

A nice upgrade to anyone who already has a TFA Trooper, or wants to go down that route sometime soon and wants his holster to be more than a solid chunk of resin.
I won't write too much, I think the pictures speak for themselves:

The design is based on reference I got of the original holsters used in the film. I can't share most of it (sorry), but I hope this will give you an idea:

You can do both configurations seen on the original suits with this kit as well (this is how they should be used ideally... they didn't really follow that logic through in the movie though, or on the Anaheim display - they rather bent it so the blaster hangs straight down... oh well!):

Down to business: I have a list for run 4 open on FISD and can add you if you like. We need 20 people on it to make the run go forward.

One set includes what you see in the first picture: The three metal layers, laser cut from aluminium, plus a resin wedge. The wedge will need a bit of sanding and the usual clean up, as well as drilling the holes for the outer bolts to go through.

The price per set is $65 plus actual shipping costs (about $7 for one set shipped to the US).

If you are also interested in buying the hardware, I can get that as well. The complete set of screws, two locknuts for the outer bolts and the correct ball bearing would be an additional $20

Payment would be collected once we hit (or surpass) the 20 buyers mark, plus a couple days for anyone else who wants to join. I will PM you with payment information once we get there. Based on the turnaround time on previous runs, I expect holster only orders to ship about 3 weeks after payment, holster and hardware orders will take more like 6 weeks, as I have to import the hardware and that takes time. Any questions, just ask!

If you're interested, please post here - and make sure you mention if you want the holster only or holster and hardware - and I will put you on the list.

Guys, do not sleep on this upgrade, whether you currently own a set of TFA armor or plan to own a suit in the future. The holster that comes with ANOVOS' kit is completely non-functional and a pain to convert. Other functioning ones I have seen are nowhere near screen accurate. R2Dan's are made to exacting detail and accuracy and are a piece of cake to install. Best of all, these holsters are 100% compatible with our F-11D blaster kit!

The proof is in the pudding, so here's a video:

... Yes, it really is THAT easy to draw and holster your weapon with one of these beauties!

Is it possible to switch back and forth between the two mounts on a single thigh depending on what weapon you wanted to carry that day? Also excuse my ignorance but what is the ball bearing for?

Yes, you can add or remove the wedge by loosening the outer screws easily. What you will have to do if you want to do it is shorten the screws so they don't protrude from the metal layers - simple mod, did that on mine as well. The bearing works as a guide for the blaster. It slides along it and the screws go straight in - works perfectly with JJ's blaster.

alternatively, you can hang the sidearm from the version without the wedge as well (and the riot baton, if you are going down that route). All the wedge does is change the angle

That does sound good!....................enough hardware for the sidearm and the riot baton! Please count me in for that!

you can choose between both configurations with the kit - I'll add you to the list of course
:)

hi mate - in before the lock! Will add you now and then finalise the list. Expect payment instructions over the weekend :)

Just to let you know. I haven't gotten round to sending payment instructions out yet, as I'm visiting RS Props in the UK for a couple days at the moment. Will get those PMs out asap though, don't worry :)
