Terra Nova?

I like this show the more I watch it. The sets are great and the characters are really coming into their own. It takes a few seasons for a show to really jell, and I really like where this one is going.

They don't usually announce whether or not somethings back until may.

However, you'd think there'd be an exception here since they delayed the show as long as they did apparently for post production reasons. My guess is maybe we'll hear around March...Or, they'll wait til May and if it's back it won't start until January or February.

The usual Shows yes Terra Nova is the Miilion dollar elephant in the room though.

From what I heard the suits are not terribly excited about the ratings.

If this show was number 1 in its time slot since it aired believe me they would be announcing that it had been renewed.

My friends at Fox tell me Jan or Feb is when the announcement will be made or later. :lol

The finale ratings will be important so everybody tune in.

It may stand a good chance of another Season if they slash the budget and if two new shows which have not aired bomb.

Other than that it's just to expensive to produce for the ratings it gets

Sci-fi + FOX = little to no chance.

It's actually a pretty big achievement to last the full run it had slated given it's FOX. I'm not sure what they expected for ratings, best they could concievably do is third place. Not going to beat HIMYM on CBS or Monday Night Football.

And being a 2 hour episode tonight, it competes with 2 and a Half men.

Monday nights always been a stiff line up, CBS pretty much dominated the sitcom scene that night, and NFL will always trump the rest.

Seems like the writers knew to end it without any major loose ends. Some teasers for a season 2, but nothing you'd be upset about if it gets canceled.

Tonights competition should just be football and not much at that given all the blackouts the junker stadium has had so far. CBS lineup is all repeats.

That was an awesome finale!!
I loved the Carnator in the future, that was great! I hope it made it back. It seemed to tie things up should it not come back in the spring. I really hope it does, it became one my favorite shows.

I thought last nights Finale was the best of the run.

A little too little, too late though imo

Odds are it'll be canceled, but last night was AMAZING! I'd say the series hit its stride there with this episode. The Carno in the future scenes were great, and that ending did leave enough that a 2nd season could be very very cool.

I don't remember if TN was a midseason replacement or if it was just a 1/2 season introduction to a new series. Seeing how the 2 hour season finale aired I would have to assume it will not be returning until next summer? Not sure how this show worked itself into the schedule.

I highly doubt it will be cancelled. You have to remember that it has $pielberg and Amblin$$ behind the production. This $pells alot of moola for the network!

Loved the last episode. It is strange though that the timeline is sort of turning into Lost. I hope they don't go that route but merely make it more of a timeline jump story.

The second to last scene opens up some interesting concepts for the future.....literally! Must not reveal...........must not...........:behave

That does'nt mean Jack! ;)

It means a lot of Moola for Amblin because Fox is footing the bill

Speilberg's record on his Produced T.V. Series is not so good.

Earth-2 and Seaquest come to mind, with Earth-2 being giving the Ax with only 1 Season

Just finished watching it with the family - SO GOOD!

I called it too - When Jim was going through the portal in the cargo bin I said, "Wouldn't it be awesome if some dino came out of no where and passed through with him?" I was joking, but serious about it being awesome and then when he slammed that needle into the blanket I was cheering! hahaha!!! And then it goes and eats all the bad guys 1% ers. :lol:thumbsup

Am not happy about Washington dying or about them going back to Terra Nova -I wanted to see them switch places... the sixers in the camp, the colonists in the jungle. But oh well... guess with all those kids, it's better this way, and it adds to the believability that the badlands have another fracture.

My husband made a prediction as soon as they did the reveal that makes total sense, but is very, very overdone in science fiction. Rather than give it totally away I just have to say this: if Amelia Earhart walks out of the jungle, I'm gonna be chagrined.

I don't know about amelia, but I do have an idea what sort of stuff is out in the badlands. And where it might have come from.

I loved the finale, I do hope it comes back. Not the greatest show and slow at times, but still has potential.

So apparently Steven Spielberg saw "Land of the Lost"

I liked the original better, though this has better special effects.

I just saw the finale and I thought it was very engaging...loved the T-Rex transporting forward to eat the antagonists. I can only concur with Guri that this may be 'Bermuda Triangle' wormhole-type phenomena in the Badlands. In spite of how trite that may initially appear, it could have some interesting potential plot development there.

All in all, really looking forward to the next season! (y)thumbsup

My partner and i have been watching Terra Nova from the start. I'm a massive fan of Stephen Lang ever since watching Avatar so that kinda sold it for me. We both enjoyed Season 1 and we're eagerly awaiting season 2 :)
