Terra Nova?

I have every episode on my DVR. I watched episode 1 and thought - other than some outrageous plot holes - it was somewhat entertaining. One morning after work I put episode 2 on and kinda half watched it as I read the paper and did my morning crossword... I caught the gist of it and it seemed rather contrite and boring.

Since then, I haven't watched any of the show and from what I'm hearing I might just delete the whole series.

Same here, had high hopes, thought the 1st episode was interesting, 2nd was ok, 3rd was so cheesey I could've made a platter of nachos. I didn't think it was possible to "jump the shark" after only 2 episodes. The whole temporary amnesia thing was something you find in a soap opera, along with all the teen drama and angst. I have the other episodes on DVR, hope it gets better, will still give it a shot.

I am still waiting for Stephen Lang to say, "You are not in Kansas anymore, this is Pando..........errrr, Terra Nova, and everything outside those gates wants to kill you."

Looks like everybody here has given up on the show.

It's tough but I am still watching it go from bad to worse! :lol

I'm still watching it. Must be something about it I like enough to keep watching.

Last night had a couple of good hand to hand fights in it. It even moved the narrative forward in an interesting way and gave a few nice moments to secondary characters.

Last nights was rather good, neat seeing a large carnivore instead of just the slashers.

Still has my attention.

What? You don't think 25 humans can drive a giant T-Rex type dino exactly where they want it simply by waving torches?? Surely you jest... :)

The last 2 minutes is where is showed some possible interest when the commanders son showed up and opened the box. Perhaps the next eps will actually address the mystery aspect. If it doesn't pick up PDQ there isn't going to be a season 2.

It's a science fiction show about time travel and establishing a human colony on an alternate earth. Very realistic stuff. Why would it bother me that the sixers were able to force a 7 story dinosaur to go where they wanted with bows and arrows and torches?

;) OK, maybe I thought it was a little stupid, but it's for the kids. Kids love that kind of stuff, right?

I still enjoyed the episode though.

I'm sorry to say that I have officially bailed out. Removed from DVR record list menu. Very disappointing because I had such high hopes. Great idea that didn't come to fruition.

Even so, I expect to check back here to see if it takes a turn for the better. So much potential!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spinosaurus type dino actually

The torches were campy, I just meant SEEING one. So far its been small critters comparitively speaking.

The sneak peak for next week shows some Jurassic Park influences, I think I saw a JP styled Dilphosaur.

You guys do know that Man is the only being on the planet too Stupid to not be afraid of Fire right? Give me a torch and a 1200lb bull, and I guarantee I can keep that bull backed off. Burning is the worst pain there is, even a 70ft animal is going to back away, WHICH was a problem I had with Jurassic Park, NO flame units of any kind...Really?

After Shannon and his daughter got out of 'the eye' and that dino attacked, was anyone else's family singing "Go away dinosaur, go away, we don't like you..." :lol

Then we started singing "Go away sixers, go away, we don't like you..."

This show is stupid in so many ways, but I can't help loving it.

Would an elephant be driven by flames like that, or a hippo? I don't know... I can't see it.

(y)thumbsup Absolutely -
Lucas with the head slash scars has connections on the other side and a cool DNA box that protects it's circuits from EMA rays?
That's what I'm talking about...

Almost made the cheesy Disney Channel love fest of the teens worth it. (My 10 year old makes hilarious kissing noises)

"I think he's a Vampire" :rolleyes

All of my hopes are gone for this Series, It just gets worse and worse with each new episode.

Its getting worse. The visuals are amazing but some of the plots keep growing holes in them big enough to pass a dino through. Spoilers will be below but who really cares about it now?

Just some random thoughts from last night:

Ok, we're in the Mezozic era. ALL they could come up with was a swordfish and a komodo dragon with a frill added to it?? COME ONE! We want dinosaurs.

Show Curren being stalked by a group of raptors or a Dilophosaur species, something dinosaur related on this dinosaur show.

The fishing, show us a plesiosaur or something for God's sake. A sword fish? really best ya could do.

The Professor switch, was...well it had my intrest at first but really would have been better story to just find out her hero was a ******.

The drug theft was good, its good story telling there and works so that gets an A, but thats about it from Mondays episode.

I'm glad to see that HOPEFULLY Allan Greogry and Bob's Burgers both get dumped off that link, those 2 were horrid.

This show just ellicits a sigh from me when the credits start...it's sooooo generic and ...safe.....and....boring....

I do, however, love the Avatar guys beard!

Terrible show...WHERE'S THE FRICKIN' DINOSAURS?????

Rich

My 10 year old says it's too 'talky talky' - where's the action?!

It seems like they are going for several plot lines at once every week and that means a lot of story telling. Maybe if they cut out one of the three tonight they could have had more action.

I actually don't mind it much, but my expectations are low.

Biggest scare for me this week was the spider. haha!

Well looks like next week we do an ode to Predator and finally fight some 'Saurs :rolleyes

I thought last nights wasn't too bad. They FINALLY addressed the what it's all about part. Question being if it's true or not.
