Terminator 2 grenade

I have several grenade shells that I want to paint for my Terminator display. After watching the movie several times I see that shells varied. Some had silver casing bottoms with gold while others where just one color. When Arnold drops the shell in the back of the truck I saw something for the first time. The shells have writing. Does anyone know what all of the text is? I can tell PROJ but I do not know the rest. Does it have 40MM? Anyone with ammo experience please let me know.

Gotta say everyones attention to details here is amazing.

We should have a national touring RPF museum of the Fantastic.
(Great Title, hehehe...)

Thanks for the answer. I knew I could count on you guys. I have this project, POTC, I Robot, Dredd, and a few others. I will post pics hopefully before I leave for San Antonio next week.

Thanks.

I know this is a very old post, but I registered to post this comment. The grenade in the photo could be marked with a few different numbers, based on the shape of the ogive. (the ogive is the top, usually gold or yellow in HE) The numbers could be:
M381 (Old series Vietnam era) yellow painted top
M386 (Also old Vietnam series) yellow painted top
M406 (Vietnam and after series) Mostly gold some yellow top
M441 Arms 4-8 feet from launcher Gold or yellow top

The M385 as quoted in the above response is incorrect. The M385 is a Mk-19 round that is light blue in color and a practice grenade for high velocity launchers. It is also linked in belts.

I do make replica grenades if anyone is interested, contact me via e-mail. GROG

I do several 40MM replicas, please visit my webpage here: Replica Sales Sorry I didn't respond to the above posts, but, as I wrote, I registered to correct some misinformation, and didn't check back. I normally don't do "props" but create the replicas for collectors, museums, VFW displays, and other requestors. Only recently I have been asked to do even more props, and made the 40MM props being used in T5... There is a seperate post on here about that movie. GROG
