TCW Republic Backpack completed!

Greetings fellow force fanatics,

I have been scratch building a Republic backpack for some time last year and have finally completed the remaining details. Specifically, I swapped the polyester tarp with a nylon covering that seals magnetically and have fabricated a removable vinyl insert for the inside. I know this build is not 100% screen accurate, but it will do until I finish a more accurate version. So, below are some comparison pics of my progress. Thanks. I was thinking of taking the straps off a backpack as well, but couldn't find one that looked accurate enough. So, I fabricated the straps from polyester and leather. On my next backpack I will make the straps more accurate.

Very nice! There's a guy on the Mandalorian Mercs board who's doing a run of these all built by hand and I'm actually working on trying to turn one into a mold to pull kits from 3mm Hips.

Thanks. The only other backpack I have seen was done by steelblitz. I would be interested in seeing the backpack you will be molding. The modellers of TCW are really coming up with some cool designs, its good to see more animated stuff being built.
