Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

Alright guys I need to get my stuff together.

This is my first Sunday update that I'm not pleased with and it is completely my fault. I've been relaxing on stuff and its catching up with me. I'm up to 164. So that's it for me, no more easy ways. I'm going 150% from here on out. No off days, no shortcuts. It's time to start ratcheting this up. I'm fired up and ready to sprint to the finish. My body will be ready.

I feel you. I went through a similar thing this week with a cookie addiction. I got a lot of work to do this week :(

We all have our good and bad days. I would highly suggest not quitting the foods you love cold turkey if that's what you mean about it catching up with you? From personal experience, I tried giving up the foods I love to only end up binging in the end. I would recommend a cheat day on your rest day(do give yourself a rest day as your body does need to rest/recover).

I myself have not updated in the past 2 weeks and I do apologize. It's not that I've been doing horribly bad, but because I get obsessive with stepping on the scale and wanting to see results over night. We all know weight loss isn't magic where it just happens on a good week of diet and exercise, but long term life style change for great dramatic results.

At times stepping on the scale does discourage me if I gained or maintain the same amount of weight. I don't want to mistaken my loss of fat with muscle gained so I'm staying away from the scale for the moment temporarily. I also read that each individual results differently to diet/exercise and the body may retain water weight up to six weeks making the scale inefficient.

One of the things I've always had trouble with was keeping my motivations alive. "I want to lose weight for this person or that person, I want a deliciously sculpted 6 pack, I want to fit into extremely low rise jeans" etc. Mind you those are just examples lol This time around I found one that sticks close to my heart and it seems to be working pretty well. I found an old picture of me in decent shape(waaay better than where I stand today) and made it my wallpaper on my phone where I will SEE it EVERYDAY and let it be a constant reminder how far I've fallen. I've FALLEN far and am making my way back to the top.

Bread, Blue and Ijack, I feel you guys this week. I myself need to get my act together as well. I've been doing too much puffying and getting sidetracked with other projects that before I know it, I just spent the whole day sitting down. My ankle is almost fully healed, I think I can start my cardio sessions again...and I will.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

Yeah even though i worked out 7 days last week (over 15 miles in cardio, weight training, and cross fit) I still couldn't counter the cookies :(

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

Brilliant idea for this thread man. I think its a great idea if you are trying to do Cosplay etc you try and look good doing it. So many times I've run into people that have great costumes and have let themselves down by not taking care of themselves (bulking up etc).
I've seen Captain America builds that looking fantastic but the guy in the costume looks like an advert for anorexia. I don't mean this in a nasty way.

So, me!

I'm 6'2 and a very large build (Think Captain America meets Colossus) and weight 256lbs currently. I'm aiming to get down to 200lbs currently but if needs arise I'd like to go down to 180. I am currently aiming to do heavy cardio for 5-6 days a week and add a heavy diet to my regime too so I lose weight well.
I've dieted before so know I'm capable of this.
Everyone keep up your progress :D

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

I haven't post in a while well I lost over a inch of fat off my chest and back at 33-34.
But my weight is changing. I guess more muscle than fat.......

around 200lbs which is sad..... but still lost fat!!!!! yay

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

Fett, you and me are starting a club (and whoever else this has happened to since the thread started). During my run today, about half way through, I was stepping on to the sidewalk and rolled my ankle. Hurt like hell and couldn't even run back home had to walk. Luckily I just run around my neighborhood. But still pretty disheartening. Hopefully it won't be a long term thing and I can continue working out ASAP.

How did everyone's week go? Friday was my cheat day unfortunately, celebrated my girls birthday with an 80s party, got my fill of beer, club sandwiches, and chips but now I have to work it off :). I think a double lift is in my future this evening.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

I had a solid week with weight training, cardio, and crossfit. And the best part is that I didn't engorge on cookies this time

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

That 80s party looks like a great time!

Been keeping up with my calisthenics regime, hoping to have my Ultimate Spider-Man suit ready for public excursions by May 11.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

I too had a solid week this week. I'm really happy with the way I carried myself. I slept when I needed to sleep, ate when I needed to eat(the healthy stuff, of course), and exercised the days I had to. I'm no longer in the 230's and I feel great, unfortunately I didn't take a snapshot of my weigh in like usual. I've had nothing but water all week and to have some soda pop today was quite refreshing. May 4th is 12 days away but I have 12 weeks to go in my journey. My new found motivation has been serving me well and is keeping me determined to cross the finish line. I will WEAR the shirt, OOH YEEAH. :cool

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

Well guys, it was just my luck this guy at my gym with a picture perfect ASM physique (basically lean but super defined and strong) saw me at work he gave me his number so he can train me to be one legit spiderman by august! Apparently my gym knows me for being a spidey fan so he was all for getting me built to carry my weight like its nothing. Ill be back in a few weeks to show how well this works.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

Lucky! Is it possible to share some of the workout and dieting techniques as well? If not I understand.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. "Shirts-off" Challenge Starts NOW for May 4th deadline!

I think I'm just so muscular...:pbecause I'm struggling to drop this 10 lbs. Anyways I did my whole X-fit workout in approx. 29 minutes.

4 rounds of 800 meter runs + thrusters with 40 lbs. weight...
