Re: A lot of people working on TASM but are you also working on your fitness?
I read a lot of spider-man stuff growing up as my (much) older brother was a comic book artist for a while, so I was exposed to many different iterations of spidey. But the series I really loved, the one I bought every issue of for years and kept up with the continuity was Ultimate Spider-Man. You know, THIS GUY. Ultimate Spider-Man was the best.
So the image of spidey that took root in my head and my heart was a slender spidey, and I never quite connected with the idea that Spider-Man was as big and imposing as Captain America or Batman, as somewhat embraced by the Raimi films (even though I thought the suit design was beautiful).
I've always been pretty slim with low body-fat, but when I started thinking seriously about donning a spider suit I wanted to add some more upper body strength without much added bulk (read: train for muscular endurance more than for high weight lifts), so I did the one hundred pushups program for 6 weeks. I think it went pretty well, and given that by the end of it you do a set of one hundred reps without stopping, it's quite good for muscular endurance. :lol .
I'm a little taller than 5'8", I don't know what I weigh, but it's probably under 140.
And here I am in my first spidey-suit! A childhood dream come true.
Cheers.
