So, I've been lurking throughout the forum for a long time. I've always wanted a Spidey suit, but never had the money, so I started saving up from my job and whatever money I got from birthdays and holidays.
I saved up about 900dollars and thought I would start. The first thing I bought was the print. I was originally planning on buying a file through GunHeadDesigns(Orhader) but I don't really know how to use fabricondemand, so instead I just bought a print from CrazyDog500. I bought that about a month ago along with TJacks ASM 2 lenses and a faceshell made by a guy who goes by Shades.
The print arrived just today and so did the faceshell.
I'll say that I was very happy with the print.
The Faceshell on the other hand, was rather disappointing. The pictures on his thread looked a lot better than the actual quality of it.
I'm not trying to bash Shades, but that was definitely not worth 60 bucks :/
The lenses looked fantastic, as everyone knows that TJack does a very nice job with those.
For the shoes I bought a pair of Red KungFu shoes
I started to work on the faceshell and lenses, attatching magnets to them with epoxy. Well, I'm gonna go ahead and say I'm not a handy man so this when downhill pretty fast. I have no idea if the lenses were even or not because before I could check, I broke them... Yeah that's right. I tore the mesh up and chipped off a corner of it.. just by attatching the magnets together. i don't know what I did to deserve this. Ugh 100 bucks down the drain(60 for faceshell,35 for lenses)
I plan on sending my suit to trophywife very soon to have it sewed. In the meantime, I'm just hoping TJack releases his ASM 2 Faceshell/Lenses combo for a decent price, because I do NOT! want to wait anylonger for this.
