T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

Really cool info about the Timeless skull also. I used to know the whole history of Icons/Timeless but I've forgot. I know there is 2 or 3 different types of icons skulls. I know icons made full endoskeletons also. Only a small number though. Not sure on Timeless though.

Regarding the ICONS / Timeless Collectibles info. I don't know how accurate this is:

That pipe neck head looks pretty good. The one in the stabbing finger link looks....off. The teeth or upper jaw look wonky.

Yup. The shape in the skull in the first link is pretty damn good. I'm just not seeing that shape preserved in production pieces.

The skull in the second is way too wide, as if the sides of the mold wasn't supported and it just squashed. But that one is definitely a T1 base.

Yeah the pipe one is definitely the best.

I remember hearing ages ago that one version was a scratch sculpt and was too wide/round while another was cast from a movie source. Long time ago so I’m not positive on that one.

Yeah... maybe the scratch sculpt was just mistaken as such, but is actually the Timeless T1 one.
I would like to think that. If true I’ll have to try and get one then. They don’t come up often though.

I’m still digging up pics from old phones that I’ve saved pics on. Trying to find the Tomenosuke Endo pics. I know I’ve got a few good ones somewhere.

We need to keep this thread alive. It’s as excited as I’ve been about this subject in ages.

I have one :)
It's big and very heavy

I'm all for keeping this going. I've not seen this much stuff shared in a long time... all since the EndoBuildersClub days... I don't know if we should split it up into it's own thread or whether you guys are okay with just keep posting it in here? But I'm all for sharing. I shared zip files of my pictures before. I'll see if I can find the links, or just make new ones and edit the links into the first post, so they'll be easy to find.

This is your thread. Whatever you find comfortable buddy. If you want to split it we can. If you’re happy with this thread keeping going then that’s cool by me. I know I’ve got plenty more to share and all this is exciting to me. I wish you weren’t on the other side of the world. I’d come visit and share stuff in person if I could.

Cool. Honestly, since I've had so little with my LFS endoskeleton build in this thread, maybe I should just rename this one into just a Terminator Endoskeleton thread and when I finally get started on working on the endo, then I'll start a new thread.

I updated the first post to include the pictures I have. They were scattered all throughout the thread and I didn't want to go search for them. Also, the links in the thread are now dead, as I moved the zip folders into another folder on Dropbox, so only the ones in the first post works.

If anyone finds any pictures I'm not allowed to share in there, please let me know and I will remedy that. I can't remember where I found all the pictures - many were posted here - so sorry if the owner or original poster isn't mentioned in the picture titles.

Love to see this thread grow and grow. I don't know if it's been an available found part for a while now, but the stainless braided hose on the arm has been tough to find. I found a hose with a smaller diameter (link below) and I remodelled that entire part because it wasn't included in the Serial Scientist package. I can share with whomever wants it. I'm actually remodelling a number of the parts in this package to increase the poly count to what I would call "a light sanding level" ;)

Here is the braided hose I ordered. Might not be perfect, but it will be something until a better one is found:

We talked previously about how the original T1 was cast. So thought I should repost these. They are also included in my picture links in the first post.

But look at those teeth... and look at that curve to the spine model... and it is clear the inside of the eyes are separate pieces, as well as the nose being open with the center piece and the backing possibly being 2 separate pieces. Wonder what model kit provided that center piece - has that ever been identified, like the parts on the backing piece has?

I also really like on the T1 that all the pistons retain the machined aluminum look and aren't chromed, as well as the toe forks being black. That's some of the things that usually looks off on licensed endoskeletons - it's all just chromed.
