You can mesh-paint the pattern, but you guys have two different patterns showing. The hexagonal pattern on the images is cross-symmetric, I can get .25" gap but that may be too small. And, having said that, the stuff I can get is thick-grade, and expensive simply for a mask-tool.

Just get some really thin tape and make your own pattern:

I would do something like that:
get one of these:

and put it in the oven...when its hot enough take it out an put it on the foam...then the pattern should be burnt onto the foam

But where are they Flying FROM? Whey would he have parts of This particular suit laying in other areas of the house, so that when they come flying to him, he ends up destroying his house? That makes no sense...

Of course, he's rich enough to buy a Hundred of those houses, soo.... Never mind...

I'm having an UBELIEVEABLY difficult time with the Legs and Arms. The boot came out OK, but Personally, if I was to make this suit myself, I'd just use my Mark 4 Arms and Legs, and use the Mark 39s Torso:

the Pics were taken from the Iron man 3 thread in the Movies sub forum...there's an ebook where this pic is taken from...as far as I know there are not many pics of the new suits
