It's actually cheaper to buy a complete leather wrapped sword handle handle from Ebay than it is to buy this stuff by the foot.

It is easy, just more expensive

A. They use water buffalo leather, cheap, plentiful and not protected by any laws or countries.
B. They are in countries where factories will make anything, screw copyrights, for a slice.
C. They HAVE factories and buy tons of everything then pay almost nothing to workers.

You might try making contact with someone in Malaysia or Singapore, suppliers have to make their sales somehow.

I'll probably pick up one of those cheap handles from Ebay and just strip it and rewrap my handle with the ito. Seems the cheapest way.
