Superman/Clark Kent - Christopher Reeve glasses

Hi guys,

I am looking to find very similar if not the exact style glasses that Christopher Reeve in the Superman movies as Clark Kent wears.

Does anyone the exact make and model of the glasses or know of any similar looking ones?

I work at a optical shop and I have noticed that we have similar shape glasses that they used and they are also tortoise. I would recommend that if anyone is unable to find any on ebay, try to go to a discount vision outlet around your town if you have one. These style of glasses are being made more and more. Just a thought.

It's near perfect, the front is spot on, but the side temple is a little different from the screen glasses.

YenChih Lin, ya they are pretty close except for the sides a bit. I'm going to keep looking but will keep these in mind.

Will report back if I find something better...

Maybe I should start buying those frames that we have and sell them lol. When I can I will see if I can get a pic of them.

I read somewhere, and I'm trying to find the link, that they were made by Anglo American Eyewear. I found these which are similar but more round. The temples and the bridge aren't thick enough but the detail that sticks out to me is the extra sculpting on the bridge and the frame front where the temple attaches.

The frame isn't in their current line up, at least not on their site, but they do offer custom frame options. I've contacted them about another frame and they were very nice to deal with and open to what the customer wants. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact tortoise blend I wanted.

Not sure where you are so I'll list both sites.

They were indeed made by Anglo American. I'd reached out to them last year and they'd let me know, while the model (142, I believe?) is no longer in production, they could be made custom for around $450.
