Superman and Batman wall plaques, pics!

Just wanted to show some pics of some wall plaques I made from styrofoam. I have made a few of these over the years but this is a different style than previous versions. I went with the chiseled out look with the raised logos. Most of the time I have the logos carved in but I thought this would be a different take on the wall plaques

The plaques measure about 4 feet across or so.

Thanks guys! The plaques are hand carved using a hotwire tool. The pieces are then coated with a hardshell plastic coating so that they are durabl;e and then painted up!

The plaques are large but weight next to nothing since they are made of foam

what commercially available paint do you suggest that won't melt styrofoam??

Really cool, i would have thought they were carved out of wood. Excellent detail.

The best paint to use for foam is a water based / latex paint. Any other kind will eat the foam! Sometimes I will actually use paint that will eat the foam for a unique texture but if you do that be careful or it will eat away all the details!

VERY light weight! Maybe 3 to 4 pounds each or so.
