Superhero fitness thread/log

BitterBits, I have been trying my best to go from 186 to 165. I am about 6'1" So its more about leaning and abwork. I actually have been dabbling in parkour lately too. Also I thought it was cool that you are buying a pullup bar because I read in http://www.amazon.com/SEAL-Survival-Guide-Surviving-Disaster/dp/1451690290 that cade conditioned for the seals by doing pullups everytime he walked in and out of his room, and 25 pushups after the bathroom. But thanks for the kind response,I also have found inspiration in dancing and yoga as well.

nick16001 absolutely! I've harbored a secret hate/lust over the pull up for pretty much ever. I've decided to tackle it. I want to get to the point where I can crank out ten every time I pass through the room. I figure if Caity Lotz had a week to get from 1 to salmon ladder I have a chance at doing it *eventually*.

I found a YouTube video of a cosplayer who did a similar thing that might work for you (although I'm dubious that it would be healthy long run it'll definitely work on a deadline). "The Wolverine" 4 Week Diet & Training Transforma…: http://youtu.be/eHtLe_3aOIw

What kind of dance do you do? I find yoga makes me crazy mellow afterwards.

I'm going as the amazing spiderman for ichibon in january. As for dance nothing professional just hip hop freestyle but eventually I want to be able to break/tricking.

I love that these threads are out there. I've been futzing around with the idea of getting back into shape for a while, but never really had the motivation to do so. When the new Avengers trailer came out, I decided that I want to make Thor (I already have the long hair and beard) but I really didn't want to be "Lumpy Thor." So far, just a few little changes have made a nice difference. I'm doing pushups and crunches every other morning until I can get to a point where I can do them every morning, cutting back on my portions, (no seconds T_T ) having a few small, healthy snacks inbetween meals, and drinking more water. It's only been 2 weeks, but I'm already down 4 lbs and getting ready to find a new notch on my belt!
