Super thin resin

Anybody know of a really thin resin? I'm scratch-building a custom model and some of the details off of some Dragon tank kits have some really tiny details. I use Alumilite mostly and have achieved some really good casts off small parts, however, it's too thick for these parts. If anyone knows of some good resin with water-like viscosity that will flow well into tiny crevices, please let me know. Thanks!

the 320 series of smooth-on is thin, plus to get better flow into the mold cavities, try talcing the molds...this removes surface tension allowing the resin to flow freely

Smooth-On's SC-300 resin.
It's pretty quick stuff, water thin and "snap" cures to a rigid plastic that resists sagging.
Their 305 is a bit slower...but just as good.

Also, I stongly second the suggestion about Talc...Baby Powder ( containing Talc in the ingrediants...NOT cornstarch ) works real good !

That is sound advise, the talc does the trick. It can also be used to get any "tacky" feel off of your resin castings. It will absorb any moisture that is left on the resin.
