there are large, even huge 3D printers. otherwise large items are printed in sections & glued together. This is being printed and then molded. there is a TON of work to be done in between these two steps. 3D printing via FDM method is extremely accurte, but still requires multiple fill and sand layers before an object is molded. even then, once a mold is made from the master, it'll need trimming and whatnot. there was also mention or rubber joints... so theres a bit more work being dont there too. This isnt pepakura, but it is still a massive undertaking. not to mention the digital creation behind this.
since i've gone on this long, i'd like to give you kudos for the work being done here.
