Suggestions for fitting lenses on a Darth Vader Helmet.

So I just got some Vaderpainter Darth Vader lenses but I'm having trouble fitting them to my helmet. One of them already broke when I tried to get a heat warp out.
Is there any lenses that can just be installed without all the stupid trimming, and heat forming?

I wish I had better news for you. Perhaps someone else does. I have finished a fair number of Darth Vader helmets and unfortunately, from my experience at least, finding any lenses that are a perfect fit on the first try is not the way it goes. It is arguably my least favorite and the most time-intensive part of putting a Vader helmet together -- except installing a 3M tab system, LOL

You would think that it would be fairly simple and straightforward but the lineage of the helmet, warpage there might be to the eye area, how it is trimmed, all factor into making sure that lenses don't fit very easily.

If you can't modify the lenses you need to modify the helmet eye socket. It is time consuming but may be worth it by getting a better 'seal's for the lenses, by shaving off a bit at a time. If you dont want to modify the eye sockets, perhaps you can just use aluminum tape to affix the lenses in place and see if that shows well.

Im no expert, but ive heard of heating up the reqiuerd acrylic colour and using a spoon to form the lens to a Vader helmet, so the lens is formed to your helmet.

When I did mine, I heated the lenses in the oven, slowly. Fast heat isn’t your friend in this case. Essentially, I heated them until they started to “fall” a little bit, and lose shape. That gave me enough pliability or form them to the eye socket. Remember, when you mold them when soft, use some felt so you don’t accidentally leave finger prints in the acrylic.
