Still pleased as punch with my MR Nautilus but wanted other stuff with it. Thought I would post some pics of the other licensed Disney stuff for those interested. I actually had a devil of a time finding info on this stuff and thought some pics might help others. I grabbed the Disney Store waterglobe and the small replica crewman and Nemo helmets. Overall very pleased with the quality, the price, the attention to detail, the packaging (all arrived intact) and combining with the MR Nautilus.

Some pics . . .

The waterglobe is bizarre and very cool. The rotation is really just a nuance. I assumed there was 2 axis rotation that would allow you to spiral around an undersea-scape or scene but there is a squid firmly mounted over the porthole (the view does not change). The lighting is very cool and really make the item. The animation is less impressive but the squid body does slowly move to the glass then back. It is relatively subtle but gives some illusion the squid is latched to the hull and moving about. There is a small switch on the bottom that acts as an on/off/dimmer. All that being said, the look is dead on and it is really very well made (squid effect is cool but I wish they had done a sinking warship complete with the sense of burning/deploying munitions in its fractured belly). The squid is visible due to the flash (the dark picture is under ambient light and the creature is obscured).

I have almost exactly the same set up for my MR Nautilus and Disney helms.

I was also given some Nautilus blueprints that I want to frame and put above them.

Don't have the globe, but it does look pretty cool lit up, I may need to consider another 20000 purchase. Did you get that on the bay?

:D

Those helmets look like prime pickings for a replica prop build. I wish I had the time to do it. One of these days. I hope.

I want to eventually have a full Nemo styled dive suit to go in my eventual Nautilus themed Billiard room. But that's a few years off. But it would be cool.

The globe did indeed come from the bay- Talisen, you will need to post pics of the dive suit- Very cool-

P.S. Thanks Armando
