Studio scale Godzilla busts ...

One of my friends is a HUGE Godzilla freak and a very talented sculptor.

Brian recently begun a line of studio scaled Godzilla busts from different era's and he's having sort of a difficult time finding like minded people to show this stuff off to. I asked him if it was alright to show pics of his work to everyone here on the forum and he thought that that would be a great idea.

He's done several other studio scaled Godzilla busts in the past but they were all original sculptures that were never molded and no copies exist (like an old school King Ghidorah as well as a 1991 Ghidorah that I currently own). He intends on casting all of his newer projects in resin and offering them to whoever's interested. So if you like what you see you can either PM or contact Brian directly at: angrygnome2006@aol.com

Here are pics of his '74 styled Godzilla bust during the sculpting process - sculpting on this one is finished and I'll post some final shots when I get home if anyone's interested:

This pic should give you a sense of scale:

And here are a few pics of his GMK bust in progress - this bust measures 2 feet in length! The cool thing about it is that once he's finished he intends on sculpting a GMK Ghidorah, Baragon and Mothra that will all be able to attach to the back of this sculpt and mirror the GMK movie poster.

Here is the most recent pic sent to me - looks like it's almost done:

So if your interested drop him a line - Brian's a very friendly and talented guy! Hopefully he'll be joining the board and posting more of his work for all to see.

Let me be one of the first to say......awesome work. :thumbsup

He did an excellent job on those. Hell, price pending, I may
grab some of these up.

Keep us posted on further scuplts too!

Being a Godzilla fan most of my life, i can deffinitely appreciate these sculpts. Keep up the awsome work, and should he ever do a Godzilla from 1995, i may be tempted to pick one up!

Fantastic! :eek

Those are about the size of the original suit heads. Monumental scake and very appealing!

Brian plans on doing them all in time ... you should have seen his Mecha-King Ghidorah head ... looked spot on but he scrapped the project so he could use the clay for something else he wanted to finish.

Oh ... and I've been bugging him about a Toho Kong and Gamera ... :love

Now THAT'S what the new Gorn on "Enterprise" SHOULD have looked like! :lol
