Just started watching Freaks and Geeks (fully aware I'm very late to that party!) It feels a lot like Stranger Things, without any of the stranger things going on.

Small group of geeks, a bully, older sister of one is starting to hangout with the slightly wrong crowd. Said sister has the dowdy friend, the dynamic with the parents is very similar. That and its all in the 80's.

Anyone else notice this or is it just me making connections where there aren't any?

It is slightly similar but that dynamic can be seen all over the place in plenty of shows and movies throughout the years.

There was a super bowl commercial for S2..

Season 2, halloween

Was a series of quick shots. Most memorable, the three boys standing in front of the middle school dressed as - the ghostbusters :)

But is it being released on Halloween or is it called Halloween or both?

Episode Names

MadMax
The Boy Who Came Back To Life
The Pumpkin Patch
The Palace
The Storm
The Pollywog
The Secret Cabin
The Brain
The Lost Brother

Side note: I picked up a pristine copy of the following books:

- 1979 AD&D DMG
- 1979 AD&D PHB
- 1979 AD&D Monster Manual
- Deities & Demigods (got a second, less-well-preserved-but-still-damn-good copy with the Cthulu mythos included)
- Fiend Folio

I still have all of those from when I bought them in 1979.
