Some pics of the Strange New Worlds type 1 & 2 phaser(s) I printed and built up this week. The kit was made by Unimatrixred and can be found on his Printables page.
You did a great job on this! I really like the scale and color palette you used for the build, especially when paired with the classic TOS. These make for a beautiful set! Some pics of the Strange New Worlds type 1 & 2 phaser(s) I printed and built up this week. The kit was made by Unimatrixred and can be found on his Printables page.

Those both look great! I agree, the colors you chose work very well. I'm very impressed with Unimatrixred's models, they're often a perfect blend of printability, functionality, and reasonable accuracy. His thingiverse page has a surprisingly different set of models, also worth checking out.
Thank you. I'm continually updating everything over time so the longer it takes to get printing the better (hopefully) the models will be.These really are good looking models. Some day (month, year, decade???) I’ll eventually jump into the world of printing, or at least working with printed kits. Again, nice work
For people who don't have 3D printers, this guy on eBay sells some very nice clean prints, for exceptionally fair prices. I have bought several things and am always surprised with the quality,

I truly have zero complaints about accuracy, and I'm happy to see you pop in here. I printed a TOS landing party set from your files and wore them when I went the TOS set tour in Ticonderoga, NY for a con / Shatner event this year. I matched filament colors to the best of my ability, and did zero post processing. I fielded many questions from many impressed fans, even today 3d printing is a little exotic. I kept telling them I only printed them and to go look up your work!Just logged back in to RPF after a while and saw this thread. Thank you for the nice comments. I wish I was better at the accuracy part of making prop models but always striving for it. When searching turns up no dimensions I estimate them from photos, so I'm always happy to correct stuff with the right measurements.
Dang, those are good prices, even with shipping. If printing wasn't part of the hobby for me, I'd jump on these. For people who don't have 3D printers, this guy on eBay sells some very nice clean prints, for exceptionally fair prices. which STL files did you use for the TOS phaser? That one looks very nice too, can you show some more pictures of that one? Some pics of the Strange New Worlds type 1 & 2 phaser(s) I printed and built up this week. The kit was made by Unimatrixred and can be found on his Printables page.
