I painted at blank V2 that my friend “STORMPATH" built.

Painting was peeled off in detail with the fingernail and the toothpick, and it coated it with the clear coating.
It is lustrous though weathered. And, It is a little mysterious externals.

The Graflex Clamp replica was covered with a very thin(0.2mm) aluminum board.

The knob with the cone(Stainless steel) is beautiful.

That's a superb V2!

I love Stormpath's work. The quality of it and his attention to details is second to none.
:thumbsup

Thanks guys.
The work of stormpath is perfect.

I did not use the sandpaper for the weathering.
The purpose of my using my own fingernail and a soft toothpick to peel off painting is not to damage his V2.

The following pic is another one that I painted.

nice! Maybe you can scratch up the clamp and sinkknob? I always find the V2 looks odd when these are clean since the paint is so weathered

I'm kinda the opposite...I just figure the paint was super cheap on Tattooine. Just wouldn't stick right...

Thank you guys.

When painting, I thought that this V2 did not weather.
I painted V2 in the concept "All are patterns" like not the Prop replica but the concept art.
Therefore, it is lustrous to the surface. And, clamp is also beautiful.

.......The truth only feared the scratch to stormpath V2. haha.

Excellent work on that!
I have one but have still not added paint to it. Would you be intrested in doing one more?

:)

Thank you for praising it!

I painted a lot of V2 for the friend.
However, I have not painted on my own V2 yet.
In addition, the request of painting has been received from another and the friend.
I was at a loss. lol...
And, I try to stand up from the edge of despair now. haha.
However, I cannot take the order any further this year.
Ummm....

Thanks. This thread has inspired me to get it done so maybe I need to try your toothpick and fingernail process and see what I can do.
What type of black paint did you use and how was it applied?

I'd offer to paint it up for you, vader71, but I currently don't have a work shop. I've done a bunch of Luke sabers for various people. I'd recommend going with Duplicolor or Plasticote spray paints. They'll grip fairly well without primer (which you can't really use on this saber), but you'll still be able to chip and scrape away at it. Krylon and Rustolium paints will flake right off in large chips that you can't control.
