Steven W Stull. Airwolf Helmet. I'm out $1,600

I sent the police to his house to make contact with him when he pulled the same crap with me, I ended up getting my helmet shortly after that.

Appears to have resurfaced on a Facebook group.

So he's trying to sell them in a Facebook group, but hasn't reached out to the people here who are owed? Devil's advocate (not really) but that sounds like the ingredients for a rug pull. That is his old number, so I guess that's a good sign. Good luck.

Yeah. I am trying to get my helmet. I will update when I know something for sure.

Good fortune like this is unheard of. I hope this works out for everyone. But lets remember that he left people with out a product or anyway to contact him for at least 2+ years. No notes, or emails saying he would be taking a break and ghosting everyone until a thread like this had to be started. In my opinion he better have a good excuse for holding on to people's money for that long without any communication or product being delivered.

Then again...it's only a couple of years, so I suppose it is possible to rebuild a tarnished reputation for that much time passed. Lots of members have been scammed by former members and still haven't received a refund or their product for 10-15+ years.

He did mention “recovery is nasty”, so maybe there was something serious that took him out for a while? Hopefully he makes good on his debts, as that would be a good start to restoring his tarnished rep.

Sorry, very late to the conversation, but I wanted to be sure that anyone contacting 'the authorities' is repeating that theirs is not an isolated case.

Along with all others, here's hoping it was a temporary crisis-of-life, and will be resolved satisfactorily, after ALL these years.

Perhaps. But if I was ever 'out of commission' and returned to work, I would send a more reassuring message to my clients waiting for a product. Something like "...apologies to all those who are still waiting years for their order. I have not forgotten."

The only thing that could be an excuse for what has happened would be if he suffered a stroke. If so, it is possible that he could have forgotten the previous orders. Also, if someone suffered a stroke that would take them out 2+ years, recovery is never 100%...which may affect the future quality of their work.

I'm always the skeptic. There are a lot of unanswered questions. I have no skin in the game, so my thoughts aren't marred by getting ripped off. But I'm always hopeful for "redemption", since that takes a lot of courage.
