Stepping, Sitting, Supports

So I was wondering if you could step in fiberglass (aka the boots) and sit in fiberglass (aka the codpiece)? With a hell of a lot of padding of course.

And lastly, since I'm a noob I was wondering when to take supports off a piece? I just finished resining the outside of all my pieces, so just wondering when to take off the supports. They're currently attached with tape.
