I am on the way to create my own SST armor. Here are some picture from the creation process...



From the backplane I have even a small video clip...

The final build ... some pics ... next would be a test under real conditions: an obstacle race near Nürnberg (Germany) on 26th of September. Then I will see, if the armor is able to protect us under fire

It is custom made but Close to Screen. A complete re-development with a lot of improvements. E.g. there are "Slots" for the Panel Sheets. And there is a lock on the shoulder. The original is mostly simply fix connected by glue or rivets. The Panel Sheets are made from resin to save weight. And so on, a lot of small improvements. The armor will be tested under real comnditions. The appointment will be on 26th of September ... very soon. The test is on an obstacle race near Nürnberg (Germany) and will Show if the armor is able to protect me and my Team

I will do it Next would be the report from the real test on obstacle race. Maybe it unhides some covered problems yet. Also I have no experience, how is the feeling and the convenience if you wear it for hours during heavy action. I mean not only to stay on a convention for some photos ;-)

Yeah - it is exactly that thing. I have googled for it and I saw a video it is exactly the same. The peoples are also weared (sometimes) with a Kind of costume. Nevertheless, that is the right battleground to do such real tests. When the equipment survives that torture (I am not talking about the human ), then I think it is good constructed and battle proof

Here are some pictures from the armor field test last Weekend. We had to go through mudder, swimming, even diving, running, jumping, climbing, crawling,...

Some small problemes on the armor were: some open belts due to humidity (should fix them before better), 2 broken panel sheets (2 of 42 ... a good rate I think), on some parts of the armor corrasion - nevertheless it protected us even against barbwire in a comfortable way. And the not sealed armor lock on the shoulder will not keep if it is wet.

In summary no bad result

Is there any update if you would be able to make and sell the armor? Every available source for screen used armor has dried up unfortunately.
