I think if you get really creative, you could use a puppet. It'd be pretty awesome, and something different too.

Hey guys! sorry for the delay...I've been pretty busy however, I have made the cassette players both the walkman and the stereo (I will post pictures later) I am also in great need of assistance for building the mask...I am not opposed to buying one however I am on a pretty low budget.

Alright so I am back with another update I now have bought the Rocket stuffed animal the is officially licensed version (I will still be making the gun and a new outfit for it) I have also bought two of the nerf blasters also the guardians licensed versions and have found a similar working model of a Sony Walkman that still works for $20 at ebay.

So I have once again been sidetracked while waiting for my blasters to arrive and have made a Baby Groot to go along with the Outfit

I have some exciting news...my guns arrived and they are beautiful. I have also re-made Star Lords mask out of foam!
I will post some pictures later (the images are on my device not my computer)

I took some liberties so far...still need to paint, smooth, and add the tubes and piping

Here is my Rocket and Baby Groot standing side by side

And finally my earpiece, I made this out of foam and it is now painted (I will admit that I wear this everywhere)

This is my "phantom" walkman as it cannot play tapes
I do also have a real hype cassete player that works that i will be customizing

Neat job on the Walkman!! What measurements did you use? On the Sony website it says that the TPS-L2 was 150x90x35mm. Well done on the masks and Rocket Raccoon, as well. Also, how did you make the Baby Groot? Subscribed for definite.

Thanks. those measurements sound about right. as for baby groot, I took a.wooden dowel and rapped it in different types of scraggly ropes then carved the head out of the styrofoam potting filler them painted it all!

So I have finished the final copy of my mask (just wanted it to be as good as possible) As for my current direction with this project I am going to work on some of his awesome gadgets....Also I have finished painting the Nerf Quad Blasters, I will take some pictures later and post them. As for now here are the pics of my final mask.
