Stargate-ish end tables

I've been needing some really small end tables for little more than drinks and remotes. Long story short - I couldn't find anything commercially and ran across a Propworx auction that resonated. I emailed Boba Debt who had done some work for me before and wow - did he come through (again).

Folks - if you ever need anything made out of wood, Boba Debt is the man. AWESOME work. I just wish my rushed and sloppy paint job did the tables justice but good thing they'll be in a very dark room Anyway, on to the pics.

Screen used puddle jumper seat and inspiration (thank you propworx):

Which resulted in a request for 18"x16"x10" tables. One of the tables as received from Boba Debt (wish I had better pics):

After some very tough lessons on MDF priming (and me not listening to Boba about KILZ):

Pontiac blue applied - yeah, I wonder what my neighbors thought at this point:

After a little bronze sponging:

And then some gold accents (again - many lessons learned):

Throw in some frosted plexi, a small light and I have tables ready for glass tops:

thats awesome guys! i love it! you wouldnt happen to have screencaps of these in the puddle jumper would you? (the jumper was an atlantis thing...wasnt it?? or was it used on SG1 also?)

The puddlejumper was primarily an Atlantis prop, but it did make an appearance in SG1 as a "timeship" (A puddlejumper that one ancient scientist had converted into a time machine.)

Thanks for the kind words! The benches were in the rear of the puddle jumper and received a lot of screen time in Season 1, episode 4. Screen shot below:

What is the lesson learnt when it comes to painting MDF....please reply if you can..I have a rather big replica made out of MDF mostly...I would appreciate the headsup!
