STARCRAFT - Terran buildings and units

Has anyone ever thought about building any models of the buildings and units from Blizzard Entertainment's Starcraft, say, for battle dioramas like WWII modelers do?

I got this idea a while ago but have not been able to find any good reference pics.

As far as units go, I would like to build a Terran Battlecruiser with several escort wraiths to go with it.

Oh... maybe I should ask if anyone knows where I can get some reference shots... The game graphics are too small and Google searches don't bring much...

Id love to see someone do this, for reference Id reccomend using the intro movies and cutscenes from SC and BW, for Battlecruisers the intro movie to Brood Wars would give lots of details.

I don't have a copy of the DVD myself, but I think that Blizzard released a DVD with all the cinimatic clips from both games. Try searchin for it on Blizzard.com. If I remember correctly they had a prety cool cinimatic showing a lot of detain of the outside of a Waith, don't remember much about the Command ships though.

I know that there is a company out there that made kits of the SC marine, Zealot, and Hydralisk. I don't think that they did any of the other units. I actually got a marine kit and put it together for a buddy of mine - it was a nice little kit turns out pretty nice. The figure was maybe 3" tall when done...

Yes, those are made by Academy, and I think they are 1:35 scale or so. I had the Marine, Zealot, and Hydralisk action figures that were made by - I don't know who. What I really need, as far as reference, is something that will allow me to get approximate measurements - angles, distances, relative sizes, etc. Almost every picture of the Wraith I've found is different, and if I just "wung" it, I would end up making yet another different Wraith (or Battlecruiser, or Siege Tank) when I want to get them as close as possible to the in-game graphics.

There was a group on the internet who were making a Starcraft MOD for Warcraft III and they did all their own artwork. The units and buildings looked exact, so I e-mailed them to ask what I am asking here. I got a failed delivery message in my inbox, so who knows if they are still around...

Maybe I'll keep trying them. Thanks.
