Re: Star Wars TFA. Warning spoilers and I hate it!!! Haters and Lovers Welcome
Starkiller base: I get the impression that it was always supposed to be disposable. Built to destroy Hosnian Prime, a few other planets and then abandoned.
One thing I found ridiculous with it (not that there weren't several ridiculous things about it) were that when it fired, there were several sub-beams, each homing on to a different planet. Note to fan-editors: Less is more, if you are going to make it fire at all.
Luke's map: If the writers of the next script are any good, Luke will have felt Rey through the Force for some time.
When Luke and Rey met, I think it would have made more sense if he had said "I have been expecting you" and smiled, or something in that line instead of giving her the weird pained stare ...
Han's death: I wasn't surprised that he died in this movie. There had been a lot of speculation about Han dying in this movie and talk about Harrison Ford having requested that his character be killed off in previous movies.
When he started walking out on the walkway I was thinking, "Yep, this is the part where Han is going to die", and grabbed the popcorn.
On the Falcon, again the only good thing in the movie was lots of the Falcon but yeah the constant crashing was ridiculous.
Note to fan-editors: Add a shimmer around the Falcon to make it look like a shield. Bouncing off a shield is believable, bouncing off a hull is not.
