Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Post-release)

Did Palpatine say or infer that he'd killed plagius?
Yes and then we see snoke with a melted looking face like someone force lightning's his head and with theme music that is very similar to the music we hear when Palatine talked about plagius . but it makes too much sense to use an existing character . plus remember Daniel creig would never do a cameo in star wars and that is not Khan in into darkness that is ridiculous, there not gonna admit if you do guess right so listing to the writers on movies before they come out is not very telling especially with star wars .

It really ought to be SOMEONE known from the lore/mythology, or else Snoke is just random baddie from nowhere, and wtf? A resurrected Exar Kun would make my fanboy nips tingle.

Well that would all depend on whether or not the pre-movie EU was rendered non-canon by Disney...

From what I keep hearing all 7 movies are cannon the clone wars and rebals TV show and anything released after the Disney buy out and that is it but they are using everything else as a toy box to pick and choose from as they see fit .

Even though it's not canon, GL decided Darth Plagueis was a Muun. Also Andy Serkis confirmed Snoke was a brand new character. Plagueis was never seen but referenced in the film canon. Also Larry Kasdan had no idea who Darth Plageuies was when asked. So the math doesn't look good for that rumor.

Has anyone confirmed if that was Luke's actual X-Wing helmet Rey had on Jakku at her home?

We saw it Christmas Day, this is the 1st time I felt like I was back in the Star Wars universe since ROTJ, it ROCKED! :cool:thumbsup Was it derivative? Did it recycle a whole bunch of story points from IV? Were there unexplained events that made no sense (I'm looking at you R2-D2 ;)) Was Luke's presence a huge tease? The answer to all of these questions is YES! Luckily I don't CARE! Seeing the Falcon skimming through the desert was worth the price of admission alone. Han and Chewie were awesome, I was sooo glad Han hadn't "settled down" with Leia, though I really wanted Lando to come walking out behind her when she 1st steps up to Han, "You trying to make time with my Lady, you old pirate" (because this movie needed more nostalgia ;)) This is the feeling I was waiting for when I stood in line for the Phantom Menace, a feeling that I shelved until I got the unaltered Original Trilogy a few years ago. When we watched that as a family the magic returned a bit. The SE and the Prequel trilogies have been dust collectors ever since. This is also the 1st time my daughter has seen Star Wars on the big screen and nothing beats sharing that with your kid! :D
In a nutshell: The Greatest Fan Film ever made! (That is NOT an insult)
We're making a 3 hour drive to see it again but in the same theater I saw the originals in.
All the JJ hating is pretty funny to me, I remember fans saying that his Trek was too Star Warsy, looks like they've been hoist on their own Picard! ;) :lol

I dont know whos helmet is was origanaly but it had Reys name on it for what that is worth, Palatine was human but did not look like it after the mace encounter and remember all the Disney writers are PAID well to lie . that being said who knows .

Have we figured out what that dirt/ash was about in the interrogation chamber?

Snoke was one of the only characters I was not that impressed with (and I still hate that name!). Knowing no more about Snoke than we currently do, I would much rather him be Plagueis than just some random guy that came along and decided to stir things up.

They won over the public with this movie. Now they need to start with some connective tissue to the rest of canon.

Darth plagius would be a great start

I'm not adverse to it but I have an 80% certain feeling it's not going to be Plagueis.

I watched this a second time last night. Now I'm convinced that Luke has been channeling some influence through Rey. Whenever Rey pilots the Falcon or even shoots the pistol she looks surprised or acting as if she's been guided. Maybe I'm reading into it but that's sure how it looks.

Markings don't match.

It is R Ae H phonetic pronunciation look it up !
The question is did she put it on herself or someone else!!!

This is the helmet of Captain Dosmit Ræh of the Tierfon Yellow Aces, per the Visual Dictionary. I believe the novel or
something mentions that she played with the helmet and imagine the battles Ræh was in,

Well there is the answer I guess. Crazy they have the same sounding name ?!?

The more I think about the idea where luke isn't in this film, the more i like it. Everything with the map and artoo and taking a 30 second trip to see Him didn't feel like a journey. BB8 should have had a clue to find him, not his address. Maybe his information was that luke went to the first jedi temple...wherever that is

The end of the movie should have ended up with them boarding the falcon to head off...much like the end of empire.

So then the next movie begins with them breaking into the jedi temple (what remains of it) on the first order controlled coruscant to find a holocron with information about the first jedi temple.

Let's make a real quest out of this!
