We saw it Christmas Day, this is the 1st time I felt like I was back in the Star Wars universe since ROTJ, it ROCKED!

thumbsup Was it derivative? Did it recycle a whole bunch of story points from IV? Were there unexplained events that made no sense (I'm looking at you R2-D2

) Was Luke's presence a huge tease? The answer to all of these questions is YES! Luckily I don't CARE! Seeing the Falcon skimming through the desert was worth the price of admission alone. Han and Chewie were awesome, I was sooo glad Han hadn't "settled down" with Leia, though I really wanted Lando to come walking out behind her when she 1st steps up to Han, "You trying to make time with my Lady, you old pirate" (because this movie needed
more nostalgia

) This is the feeling I was waiting for when I stood in line for the Phantom Menace, a feeling that I shelved until I got the unaltered Original Trilogy a few years ago. When we watched that as a family the magic returned a bit. The SE and the Prequel trilogies have been dust collectors ever since. This is also the 1st time my daughter has seen Star Wars on the big screen and nothing beats sharing that with your kid!
In a nutshell: The Greatest Fan Film ever made! (That is NOT an insult)
We're making a 3 hour drive to see it again but in the same theater I saw the originals in.
All the JJ hating is pretty funny to me, I remember fans saying that his Trek was too Star Warsy, looks like they've been hoist on their own Picard!

:lol
