i wonder if a inquisitor will handle ashokas demise.. before vader can get to her. or maybe even he sends the inquisitor after her to do the job because he has "luke feelings" towards her? it sure is exciting!!

That Vader kills Ahsoka? I'm not so sure about that, I think Disney may have more plans for her.

with the introduction of kanan and ezra, long with ahsoka it makes me really wonder their future! can you imagine if we see a hint of one of them in ep7?!?!

I think it would be more powerful to have Vader confront Ahsoka, tries to kill her, but she manages to escape. That would certainly fan the flames of his hate. I don't think we will see any Rebels in Ep. 7 but maybe in Rogue One.

First off, I have to say that it was awesome. Vader was perfect. Absolutely perfect. I wanna little worried that they would turn him into an action villain. They way they did with yoda in the prequels. But this was the same Vader that was in star wars.

But as an added point. I finally figured out why I get so bothered when they use the mcquarrie illustrations as their source for design. It's very similar to when a band you love puts out an album where they re-record their early demos. Those demos were there to flesh out the real music. But they were exercises. They were only a part of the process to help them achieve the finished product.

When star wars goes back to those slick early prototypes, they are lacking in that used universe that became the finished process. As cool as it is to look at those old pics for reference, wouldn't it be better to see the real Darth Vader helmet? Or an actual star destroyer, rather than a simplified "mcquarrie-esque" version of one?

I don't necessarily think the season one Inquisitor survived but I think it's now canon that there are multiple Inquisitors. That had been the case in the EU. Remember, Jerec from Dark Forces II was an Inquisitor.

Personally, I want Vader to kill Ahsoka, Kanan and maybe even Ezra. Minimally, regardless of who kills them, I don't think Kanan and Ahsoka should survive the series.

As for potential crossovers between Rebels and the movies, I thought it'd be neat if Ezra (if he survives) was Kylo Ren but the ages don't line up at all. Nevertheless- it'd be a dark twist, but I'd love to see Ezra become the "anti-Luke" and fall to the dark side after the death of his mentor, Kanan.

so nothing was explained or shown of the inquisitor at the start of the show? i missed 9minutes into the show and have yet to see the beginning

i have become a big fan of kanan i hope he doesn't get killed off... but i am pretty sure we all know its going to happen sooner then later...

I have to agree that I think they portrayed Darth Vader perfectly. The show gets Star Wars, it utilizes the mythology (OT, PT, TCW) all the while is still original.

As far as the McQuarrie designs, I really like they are doing that, it doesn't bother me at all. Darth Vader's helmet is perfect BECAUSE his helmet and armor are actually different in all 4 films that he has been in, why not have it be different in this as well. Maybe every few years Vader has a new suit made. All that matters is that the portrayal of him works, in this it is spot on, they have done him justice. Using the McQuarrie designs I like they are using the possibilities that could have easily been Star Wars 1977 (it goes back to its pure roots by using the first ideas) but that it is all becoming official canon now and not just what could have been ideas, and it all blends wonderfully into the complete Star Wars vision. They are using a lot of the original Kenner toy designs into it as well, not only figures in TCW (Walrus man, Hammer head, Blue Snaggletooth) but now with rebels we got the troop transport toy turned real now. Can't wait to see what Kenner designs they use this season. LOVE IT ALL.

Decent episode, but I had a problem with
Vader damaging the Rebel command ship in a TIE. A TIE Fighter's lasers couldn't take down even a frigates shields. The only thing that would do that is torpedoes or maybe missiles.

Right, because its not like an A wing could take out a super star destroyer, or an X wing could take out a death star, if the pilot had the force on his side.

I agree wholeheartedly, you also have to consider that this still, what, a good decade or more before ANH, things will change in that amount of time. At this time the Empire would likely be I the midst of phasing out the ships and gear from the Republic era all the while phasing in new systems to replace the old. So went wouldn't Vader have different armor than in the movies and the Star Destroyers look a little different.

One thing though, I don't think that Vader 's armor in the OT was necessarily meant to be different, I think that changes were made as they had to make repairs to the suit over the course of 3 movies. As costumers, collectors, and fans I think that there's too much emphasis placed on subtle differences as indicators of intended variations. It had to be remembered that a lot of the stuff in Star Wars was created using bits and bobs the prop/costuming dept they had either lying around or found in junk yards, stuff that had been lying around for who knows how many years and likely no longer produced. This would account for changes, as parts broke or got lost, an exact replacement sometimes couldn't be found because they forgot where they originally found it or it's no longer being made.

^ but he could be misleading us. It would be pretty cool if it turns out that she is.

Based on all his interview and podcast interactions, he would never mislead by word, he would artfully avoid the answer. Certainly a young princess could factor in although when asked about that he does have some reservations packing Rebles with tomalley OT characters. They have Tarkin, Vader, Lando, R2, 3PO, Bail, it's pretty crowded.
